This weird ariana grande situation, covid-19 contact tracing problems, mrbeast david dobrik & more Uzziya: On the Australian COVID-19 tracing app: - The app isn't mandatory yet. The federal government has said that if not enough people download it (40%) they haven't out ruled the possibility of making it mandatory. - Misusing the app data isn't a criminal offence yet. We have to wait for that to go through Parliament so any misuse of data now isn't illegal and even when it is the government is more-or-less immune from prosecution by private citizens anyway. Existing laws mean that law enforcement and security departments can access and store that data indefinitely with or without a warrant. - The secure data facilities where the data you send is kept aren't owned by the government or Australian companies at all (they're American. - The app asks for your name but the government has made clear that if you want you can use a fake name or complete gibberish if you want since the app doesn't actually care what you put on in that field. - According to the federal government the app doesn't access your location data but when you actually download the app it does ask to use your location data and won't function without it. - The reason a federal government is putting the control of this app into the hands of the state and territory governments is because that's where the health response is managed and nobody trusts Canberra anyway since they've lied about this kind of thing before. ScoMo's approval rating is high. That doesn't mean people trust him or his kind. Those are two different things.

The whole Australian app is absolutely the most concerning thing I've heard all year. Yes it's not mandatory but they're providing information to the government which doesn't share their location even though it would require that or require the monitoring of your phone to know when you come close to someone else with the app. They SAY that they delete data on a 21 day period but in all honesty what government would willingly delete information that could help them find criminals. It's also incredibly concerning about it simply by looking at what they're offering in return for more people downloading the app, they're offering a quicker lift to economic restrictions, they're offering people a chance to return to normal and get on with their lives, earn money just like they did before if they simply download a government run app that has vague promises that they will delete your information after the pandemic is over. Maybe I'm just a random paranoid American but that is really concerning considering that the Australian government would be able to track your phone in some way shape or form which they will almost certainly use to monitor their citizens and their actions.

There's a tracing app standard being developped in Europe (DP-3D or something) that would fully allow anonymity while guaranteeing the full functionality necessary. Apps of this type paired with wide sweeping testing regiments would be crucial to a successful containment. With these measures and the simplest of hygiene measures we'd likely be able to drive the reproduction rate (Rt) so low that the virus would be starved without having to take massive restricions on life and economy. Of course, individuals notified of a potential infection would have to self isolate and stay home for at least 2 weeks ore longer if ill and measures have to be put in place to shelter them from the economic hit this brings. But it'd have most of the economy rolling fairly normally whilst reducing infection rates drastically.

about the ariana story, i kind of see it from both sides tbh. fans who are copying ariana are not in anyway trying to devalue her, theyre just fans who love her and trying to be her, even if its for a few seconds on tik tok. but on the other side, its very clear to me that ariana is not mad about people copying her. she's just very frustrated with people using audio clips that are taken from her cat/kat? character. i guess she just really wants to disassociate herself from that period of her life. for whatever reason cat/kat? 's voice irritates her (assuming it brings back memories of a time she's trying to put behind her. so, im pretty sure she wouldnt have a problem with people copying her if they were using any other audio clips from any other period of her life.

The Australian government is acting like an extortionist. If you down load our tracking app we might let you outside a bit more, and here is the keyword MAYBE. A former senior public servant who worked for this government said she would not download the app because they demonstrably cannot be trusted with the data based on past behaviours. So its a big fat no thanks from many people in this country. The ONLY reason it was not made mandatory is because they know people would just switch off their phones or leave them at home and peoples passive protests make politicians look bad.

Yeah, but trump supporters always feel like any criticism of this president is a personal attack against THEM for some reason. Therefore they refuse to admit that the fool EVER makes ANY mistakes; basically taking on the orange clown's narcissistic sociopathic traits themselves. These are the inevitable consequences of someone ever fully buying into any cult of personality, sadly. The only way to help them snap out of it is to get rid of trump. as soon as he is no longer the president, then this type of insanity will begin to diminish significantly.

No, tracking apps leads to More distrust. Let's say you have to take public transportation. The Wrong person may misinterpret this as someone Failing every time. So those people are Falsely accused. And we've seen So often Falseness Sticks with a person and is Harder to get out from under. When it comes to Employers stating you Must this app to return, it wrong too. This crosses the line of Wrongly terminating someone for what Political party they wish to follow.

The sad truth is our president is abusing us, abusing the press and trying to make us believe he is sane somehow. At this point my 6 year old grandson would be a better president and a parrot as a vice president. But sadly there doesn't seem to be any better choices out there for us in the future. I think we need to let younger people run for president. I am both sad and scared for our next election race. Great video sir as always.

Man if I was Trump in that situation, I would've just been like: I worded it terribly. You can't inject any disinfectants into your body, that could kill you. Sorry if I mislead anyone. Call Trump an idiot, whatever, but he played the system enough to get elected as president. He is smart, whether we like it or not. I don't think he intended to phrase what he said in the way he did. Maybe I'm just playing devils advocate, though.

Any tracking app should never ever be mandatory. I know it s a fictional story but the moral is the same, in Star Wars palpatine rose to power under the promise of give me extra power to end these desperate times and when it s all over I promise I ll give it back. We ve seen the NSA far over extend their reach already so giving them a potentially nation wide way to track every citizen accurately is too dangerous.
