Genghis Khan could have conquered Europe, but there was nothing there but clay.
When Genghis Khan conquered China and pardoned the Chinese, in 1990 we were destroyed, tortured and lost our best people.
The Chinese still live in Mongolia.
May be occupied by the Chinese due to the Khurelsukh cattle

I recommend wolf of the plain by conn igulden ( or something like that) it's basically a biography of ghengis khan to the point of uniting all Mongols I think he made other volumes but any ways it's a great book and it's basically my source of knowledge about temujin of the blue wolves ( Genghis khan)

Though the empire would grow to be massive Ghengis Khan's empire wasn't bigger than Alexander the Greats. Only after generations of his descendants extending the empire was it so. Plus like you said the empire was fractured and constantly had many rulers all ruling their own parts.

Liked the presentation. And the various 'fun facts' that are tossed in from time to time. I looked on YT for some information about the Huns on Ten Minute, with no luck. Is such a clip already on YT? If not, it might be instructive that such a clip be made and put on YT.

The only thing worse than a Mongol is two or more Mongols. The level of their savagery has never been matched by anyone in history. I wonder what modern-day Mongols are like. Are they still savage or they've realized the error of their ways and embraced civilization.

I wish this video centered on Genghis & Ogedei's reigns to highlight the importance of resources across the Empire, specific leaders who fought against the Mongols, & other awesomeness. Nonetheless a fantastic video

After conquering northern China did the mongol empire stretch so far.
Shows you that china at the time was able for world conquest but would rather stay isolated. Shame other countries didnt learn that lesson

You understated the amount of death a seed these boys laid. so much so at the time it changed the carbon foot print of humanity and made it so we are all related to him

a shame Baghdad looting didn't last for over a sentence. poems have been written about it describing how the Tigris river flowed blood-red for three days.

The only people who were eligible to be made Kurgan were the descendants of Ghengis
Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?

The Mongols had so many wives it's probably fair to say everyone whose land was controlled by the Mongols are distant cousins somewhere back.

You dont mention all of the involuntary procreation. Maybe one in every two hundred people today is related to Ghengis Khan.

Great video. I wish you have mentioned Alexander Nevsky's standoff and John Wayne playing Genghis Khan in a movie.
