I've watched this multiple times, and while I enjoy it I have to disagree about the summary. I don't believe it was all for nothing. The last thing Western Europe needed was an imperial Germany deciding where the continent would go and being the dominant power. I believe every one of those soldiers died for a noble cause. Call me what you will. Just one man's opinion.

Another reason of why the end of ww1 would lead to ww2, was that at the negotiations Japan asked for all races to be recognized are equal and was told in their face No by West and USA (was kind of Racists )!
So Japan was like maybe should liberate southeast Asian colonies (Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Burma, India, and it did 21 years later )!

As I've said before, world War 1 was the greatest useless tragedy in history.
It's the equivalent to a big argument you can't remember how it started but just know you're still pissed.
Overall though, I'll give it to the entente, they held out against a war of most of Europe completely surrounded

The sad thing about WW1 was that logistically, it didn't need to happen. WW2 was a black-and-white fight against evil which makes all of the sacrifices made seem necessary, but WW1 was just allies attacking each other until somebody lost at the expense of millions of people.

I think 2 things are fairly obvious:
(1) Every major leader in Europe apparently wanted this war or was at least willing to fuel it
(2) Austria-Hungary was unbelievably useless although the started the whole thing.

As an American I like that all of the European contributions are outlined, (like the Greek front in Bulgaria) because we were basically taught that WW1 was really awful, then the Americans came and saved everybody.
