What did Kaiser Wilhelm do After His Abdication? Documentary David: Apparently the Kaiser could have reined in the Austro-Hungarians with their demands of Serbia, which was the main reason events escalated quickly, leading to war. He chose
not to and 4 years later his monarchy and empire collapsed and he ended up chopping wood in the Netherlands. When he wasn't killing hordes of animals he was chopping
down swathes of forest. He was a born destroyer of things like most aristocrats.

Theres a movie from 2016 called The Exception which dramatizes the latter years of Willhelms life in the Netherlands. Christopher Plummer plays him.
Movie was so-so, although Christopher Plummer was good (as he was in virtually every role he ever had. It certainly depicted the aging Kaiser in a somewhat sympathetic light.

Everything seems correct except one minor thing that annoys me. Wilhelm wasn't in charge anymore when Germany surrendered. The video doesn't state he is but from what's said people could easily make that conclusion if they don't know better. But besides that it's a great video and it's still worth to like!
Edit: typo

Kaiser Wilhelm was actually a staunch Anglophobe. He blamed the birth defects he suffered from a botched delivery on his English decent. In fact when he suffered an injury due to his withered arm (The one he always rested on his sword) he said something along the lines of Curse this damn English blood

Mr Hohenzollern? You got another heavy box from someone.
Thank you, boy.
What's it about?
long sigh
I used to rule a people once.
And that's how we got Game of Thrones, but on a much less bloody scale (well until the Nazis took up full scale concentration camps.

I've become addicted to these videos. One thing I'm wondering is where did all these deposed/exiled world leaders get their money from after leaving their home countries? They seem to have lived pretty well despite being either reviled or controversial burdens.

Everyone should look up a movie about the last days of ex-Kaiser Wilhelm in the Netherlands. It's called The Exception and it stars Christopher Plummer and Lily James and, let's just say that fans of Ms James won't be disappointed!

You forgot the incident in the 1920s where they had to say dickety cause the Kaiser stile the word twenty.
The rascal was chased but his pursuer gave up after dickety-six miles.

Why is the Kaiser wearing orange? I checked a few sites, but I saw him wear orange. I could have missed it, or maybe it could have been his favorite color.

Nowadays, such a man responsible for so much misery would be paid a little visit by certain disgruntled parties, I'm thinking.
And rightly so.

I can just imagine some Dutch grocery store workers seeing this guy come into the store and going, Uh. is that the Kaiser?

Wilhelm should have invited Nicholas and his family to come and stay in his garage apartment. He would have saved their lives.

I wish we could get trump to abdicate and leave the country. We don't need a dictator like trump living in the US

There was a WW2 US army general called Luke Leia? Wow, the WW2 references of George Lucas go much deeper than anyone expected.

No way Kaiser Willy could hold a sign in his left hand!

Let's go back is a cry for change that many on the left have. Some even want humans to go back to being hunter gatherers.
