Andorra is a tiny country located between the two conquery nations of France and Spain and yet none of them managed to conquer it and make it part of themselves. But why? Why does Andorra still exist?

The exist because nobody cares much about it and their land has been historically bad. Just think bout it, until recently andorra was but a small town, it's population has grown a lot and now they have nearly 80k people mostly thanks to immigration, specially from spian, but just to clarify in 1960 they had 13k people and around 5k in 1900. All living in the middle of a mountain without any interesting resource.
An interesting fact is that around 2 thirds of it's population don't have the nationality and can't even vote, as I said they have grown so much thanks to immigration but as it turns out getting their nationality is quite hard and many don't even bother.

and there we go, another, objective, explanation were the word Catalan, the ONLY official language of Andorra, is hidden, because, it, s a short clip, and the typical fascist reasoning. From 1267, not an inch of its frontiers modified. The one and onlys. And Catalan (but let, s. silence this reality.

Maybe there's just a door connecting two other countries and some king, at some point in history, made a typo. No one had balls to correct him and now its a sovereign country. Like Argelia is Spanish for Algeria. Clearly that's just a typo, but no one has bothered to fix it.

The Kingdom of Navarre was way bigger than what is shown at 1: 10, and was situated south of the Alps in what is now Spain. Try to be more careful on maps, otherwise it would make things really confusing for other people watching your videos.

A principality stuck in the middle of the Pyrenees, that has the French president as its co-prince, the Euro as a currency despite not being part of the EU and Catalan as its official language. It is a curiosity indeed.

I really hope you included Portugal and Brazil in Spain's map because you know Portugal was under Spanish ruling in the 17th century and not because you think Portugal is Spain

Why grossly over simplify? Considering the amount of money u take off ppl on a regular basis, why don't u put some effort in and make some longer more detailed vids?

What's worse is the flag. Andorra, Romania, Moldova and Chad should hold discussions and unite into a great blue yellow and red empire, maybe with rotating capitals.

So it basically came down to: Oh, that still exists? Yeah, whatever. Every greater power just kinda ignored its existence, because they had other stuff to do. xd

Andorra, where the white-haired blue men with two antennae live.
Side note: Kind of sounds like colloidal silver might be a regular part of the diet.

Finally: Someone who correctly says 'raises the question' rather than (completely misusing the name of a logical fallacy) 'begs the question', bravo!

The main reason for me why Andorra does exist is because is a tax-haven which is use by French and Spanish wealthy and powerful people to pay less tax.

No, no. Andorra is in the African region north of Mumbambu. History Matters, please verify country locations with the US State Department in future.

Supposedly in another universe this country is called taured. And the only reason I even found out Andorra's existence is because of this story.

here's a niche follow-up: do one on Couto Misto, the Andorra-like state that survived until the nineteenth century between Spain and Portugal

San Marino. He needs to go after that one, too. Heck, let us round it out. Monaco, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, all the small points on the map.

As a Spaniard, if I ever had to migrate from Spain, Andorra would be my first choice. Right next to my country, rich and Spanish speaking.

Cool video. I grew up in Catalonia and never got such a good summary of Andorra's history (I always kinda wondered why they existed. LOL)

Fun fact: Andorra is not party to the Schengen Visa. Also, Catalunya doesn't technically stop at the french border
reply

Now Andorra is known as the place where people from southern France and northern Spain meet up to buy cheap alcohol.
