Rome, Hear me. For we are in Crisis.
To the North, Roman Imposters led by Tetricus, grow ever Stronger.
To the East, the usurper Queen Zenobia marches her Armies into OUR lands.
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Give us an Emperor of Humble Beginnings.
Give us a Leader our Armies will follow.
Give us Emperor Aurelian.
THE RESTORER OF THE WORLD!
SOL INVICTUS!

I would've mentioned that while he saved the empire, he may have also doomed it by killing and losing so many men in the battle against the Gallic Empire. Normally legions would just switch sides but in this case he annihilated them, thus depriving the empire of multiple legions and significant manpower.

You earned respect from every Iranian on the planet.
As an Iranian, it was the greatest feeling in my life to see people understand the name of my homeland and not just the dynasties who ruled over it.
Long live Eranshahr

The Crisis of the Third Century is proof that even the mightiest empires can crumble from within. Rome didn’t fall in a dayit was stretched too thin, facing internal chaos, economic struggles, and endless invasions.

Well done video! I covert his every semester in my Early Western Civ course. For folks who want the full history of Rome, I have a playlist on the Roman Republic and another one on the Roman Empire!

Both Gordian I and II did not commit suicide. Only Goridan I did, when he learned that his son Gordian II had fallen in battle against Capelianus, the Governor of Numidia, who remained loyal to Maximinus.

If you're into forbidden history, book called Obscura Roma Dominion is a must-read. It uncovers censored records, secret archives, and hidden truths about the Roman Empire that few dare to reveal.

Aot of the economic reforms you mentioned, such as price controls and rebasing of the currency, actually exacerbated the crisis
