The concept of personality is something that has always fascinated the psychology community. What makes us who we are? Why do some people behave and act in certain ways? How is our personality different from the people around us? In a previous video, we talked about the Myers-Briggs test. If you havent already watched this video, you can check it out after watching this one. But in this video, well take a closer look at the Myers-Briggs test - a method of sorting and categorizing different personalities. What is your Myers Briggs Personality Type Team

First off, there are two INFPs on the cover. One of them is apparently titled Commander even though that is the ENTJ?
3: 04 These people trust their gut instinct and intuition more than most, and sometimes get a little disconnected from the real world around them because of it.
I agree, ENFJs do tend to predominantly trust their instincts more than most but getting disconnected from the real world is something rare for them as that is a trait of an introvert, converse to the E(xtroverted) in ENFJ. In contradiction, getting disconnected from the real world is a mechanism used frequently by INFJs and, being an INFJ sister to an ENFJ brother, I can assure you that that is true.
4: 48 Just a little fun fact, all Diplomats are considered Idealists (INFJ, ENFJ, INFP, ENFP, not just the INFP, the Meditator.
4: 52 These introverts are usually pretty superstitious, seeing signs and and symbols everywhere in daily life.
This is a misconseption held by many and I'd like to do the honours of addressing it. It's not specifically, just, INFPs that are possibly superstitious, no. Other personality types, especially those who hold Ne or Ni as their dominant function are superstitious too. You see, to understand the ideology of the 16Personalities, one must come prepared with research and a clear understanding on all cognitive functions.
11: 03 Sometimes they (ISFP) struggle with self-esteem issues.
I don't see why low self-esteem is specialized for ISFPs. Any type, anyone at all, can struggle with self-esteem issues.
11: 06 ''So there you have it, all 16 personality types explained.
Apparently ESTPs are nobodies.

Im new to the MBTI stuff but I'm just so done with figuring out my type so Ive decided to be an XXXX, maybe its not the right time for me to figure out my MBTI, cuz most questions on the tests are actually different from the environment where I belong to, for example just consider society, family, school system and lifestyle etc is different in some areas. I know that MBTI is totally objective and has nothing to do with location but a part of me thinks that I need a particular type of personality test where there are personal questions related to your experience and an opportunity to give your own opinion and then the algorithm of the test is gonna analyze your MBTI based on the personalized data that you send in the test. By the way, I'm almost 15 and a high schooler, I'll further research my personality when once I move forward in practical life, i. e. career, family, relationships etc. So never mind!

I use ISTx because both of them apply to me. (ISTJ & ISTP)
Some people might think I'm more ISTJ because I strictly follow the guidelines, loyal to my authorities, a bit picky/traditional, and have a tendency of organizing everything.
Others may think I'm an ISTP because I prefer a more hands-on job, can be more open-minded to things when I feel adventurous, live life to the fullest as it is, and I like to do things/solve problems my way; follow the beat to my own drum.
I'm at least an IxTx. We had some MBTI test in college and this was my result. I'm not the most outgoing person, and I'm not really good with touchy feelings.

Can you make a video about how to relate to different personalities? I'm an INFJ which didn't surprise me when I took the test because I am a psychology major who wants to help others. But my son took it and got ENTP which is great but we are so very different. I try to explain all his questions the best I can and fully support who he is and not make him anyone but rather assist him to have his best life yet I must admit I struggle sometimes to understand him or relate to him, and there are times I do not know how to answer his personal questions about me.

Could anyone care to tell me wat personality am i cause I'm extremely extrovert with my close family and talk only when there is a topic I'm interested in, with people whom i know but not close. i do draw attention towards me when I'm out, and i love to stay alone when I'm at home and only focus at one thing and i don't give a shit about peoples feeling except for my loved ones and there's more to it sometimes i don't even understand whether I'm an extrovert or an introvert wufff!

The more I saw the thumbnail of the video, the more intense urge I got to comment:
The sad blond girl represents an INFP stereotype, but the surgeon wearing the medical scrub hat represents the. INFP too? Or even the ENTJ? I would think that surgeons might be more like ISTPs or similar type that has great knowledge but also have great eyes and great with their hands and also can keep their mind cool while working on saving the life of a dying person.

Ive taken the mbti test like 6-7 times over the course of 3 years and i get either INTP or INTJ. Its really confusing but I relate more to being INTP because while I may be smart, Im not very organized and Im bored by mundane day to day tasks
reply

I am literally all of the I's because my scores for the last three letters are so close. N and S are 4% apart, T and F are 3% apart, and P and J are 1% apart. The only hard answers are I vs E and Assertive vs Turbulent: I - 91% and Assertive - 79%.
reply

I'm very skeptical about personality types though. Seeing that you can change most, if not all, of your traits makes me wonder how much basis this actually has. I think most people are just comfortably stuck in habits and routines.
reply

It's funny to me that INFP is the most replayed, probably because a lot of INFP folk are looking to understand themselves, and dive into psychology videos lol.
(It's me I do this)

reply

ESTP - eshays
ENTP - LGBTQ community
ESFJ - The most religious
ENTJ - grandparents
INFJ - my personality
INTJ - scientists
ISTJ - our dads
Idk the rest

reply

So I just got into this MBTI thing and my result was INFJ - T (the advocate. But Im a bit skeptical, so I plan to retake the same test next week and see if its still the same.
reply

I think most of not all ISTP people are some kind of engineer, like civil or mechanical. If not they are probably interested in creating/building things.
reply

Most of the characters in this video, especially the strategists, are white and male. Please consider what this is communicating to your audience.
reply

I like the way they just throw INFP's under a bus. Seems we don't count that much could have gone a bit deeper, me thinks.
reply

My first test: INTP
Second test: INTJ
Final test: INFJ
Sometimes I wish I had the more popular personality type.

reply

All I know is that I'm a feeler who can think, introvert I have a flexible routine which could only just place me as J
reply

Can I be both ISFP and INFP? I relate so much to both of these. I'm also an artist (at least a self-proclaimed one)
