Have you ever been attracted to someone romantically? Those who havent, are defined as aromantic. You may be thinking InHonorOfYou: I really sometimes want to fall in love: ( I needed a long time and pretty deep analysis to find out I'm aromantic.
Like I felt butterflys in my stomach when I watched romantic anime, but to feel it towards a person. nah. never would feel that definitely. Just don't feel like that's possible at all. And my love language is touch so if anyone who's my really good friend would confess to me in love. I would probably say I love you too because I don't mind closer interaction. I'm that type of person who feels the most comfortable with having just one best best friend. I'm always ready to be for them and care. And don't get bored. So I wouldn't find out I'm aromantic in my entire life. I've never kissed in my entire life (which is just 17 years, don't judge me) so I don't know if I would be disgusted by kissing a friend or not. Probably not
And no one ever said that I romantically attract them (at any way. Like I've never got compliments from strangers) so how can I know? When I decide to who fall in love into, I compare their + and -.
I hope I will fall in love one day. Isn't it something everyone should feel at least once in their life? :_)
It's probably cool if you love each other (and yea, as aromantic I've never understood what's the problem forgetting the person if he/she doesn't love you back)

Have to say that Im definitely aromantic especially the fact that I dont feel love in my body around some girls or boys but (Im an actual boy irl) but I also find some things weird like people saying things near me about how girls are cute etc especially one of my ILS educator (still hes like a brother figure to me) told a girl that I liked her but I said sorry but Im aromantic sometimes hes like a weird dude but still (hes like a brother to me) like Im not into being in relationships with either girls or boys either then I remember those early teen days I used to be homophobic especially being with Mexican parents which all that talking smack from what they said about the lgbt is just a lot of dumb things until my times in 2021 the quarantine days after graduation, Ive been noticing how I never fall in love not even throughout my childhood times either especially my mom always saying youll grow up to be with a woman but in reality, Im just an aro boi not into the relation stuff just being friends is fine because I need friends more than a woman or a man. Rn Im 20 years old and came out to my friends as aromantic which they accepted me which gotta say at least Im no beta Im a super sigma

as someone who is currently defining myself as aro, the hardest part about coming to terms with that is how much of a hopeless romantic I am. I love watching romance shows, and reading books about romance. My whole life I was very excited to have that romantic relationship that I thought was going to fulfill me. But I noticed after a while that even if I wanted to feel a crush, or fall in love, it was never happening. I think this video is super helpful, but just in case others are watching this and get to the last one and don't apply, some people still love romance but are aro! I've come to terms with it more recently because I realized that I only really wanted love because of the way our society tells us that romance is the only way to become a full person. I know now that my friendships and ambitions are just as important as any romance would be, and that I'm the only person that can fulfill myself.
TL; DR: Aro people come in all shapes and sizes, and liking romance doesn't mean you can't be aro! But just know that romantic partners aren't the end all be all, and you can still have an incredibly fulfilling life without one!

i dont know if its possible but i used to be a romantic person but now im aromatic? with my first ex i was obsessed maybe too much long story short she was not a good person for me to be around and i realize now but ever since we broke up all future relationships were less and less impactful i guess if that makes sense and now i just wanna be single, but not in a sad way just neutral and i see like flirty memes or posts online and i think its cringe even tho a few years ago i wouldve related to some if the most cringe relationship meme posts. its like before i was in a relationship, thats all i wanted and i thought once it happened my life would be amazing but then i started dating and it just been eh, like if everyone hyping up some new movie and then u finally go watch it and your like um i guess it wasnt bad but dam why is everyone praising this

Can i be in aromantic spectrum but still feel romantic attraction to some point? I think i had a crush before but it might be just aesthetic attraction, although i think, i had butterflys in my stomach if it means being nervous around that person (is it different feeling than having crush on someone? i really dont know how to define diferent kinds of attraction or emotions i need a tutorial for this - ) but it all flew away after like 1 month of seeing each other and know im stuck with relationship i dont want its not even a romantic relation he's just anoying and i dont know how to end it since i started it: (.

I don't know I'm just as confused as before: fist of what's romantic attraction or desire? What romantic means? Second what if I would like to fall in love but simply can't cause I don't feel like having a relationship? I don't understand the romantic part. also all those crushes i ever had i never really thought about a life with them or dates? I've always felt more like a ln interest phisical intimacy or such, but the one time someone try to actually ask me out i panicked so hard and rejected them maybe it was because i have absolutely no experience in dating on 23 years but, I don't know i feel trapped

You didnt add alterous attention. It is a feeling that is very similar to romantic love but isnt the same feeling. It is another reason why aromantic people go into relationships. It is stronger than platonic love but it isnt romantic. I have dated people Ive loved because of this feeling but it is very different from romance. Please look into this because it is hardly talked about and only a minority of aromantic people feel this but because we are aromantic and it isnt talked about enough we get discriminated against a lot for wanting a relationship.

Im confused Ive been debating whether or not Im aromatic but I have been in love before but after I broke up with my partner I havent really ever been able to find love nor do I want love it just kinda seems pointless and I dont get how people can feel these feelings I used to but not really anymore I also enjoy reading romance novels but I dont really like REAL love if you know what I mean and u just kinda need help Im confused dose that mean Im in the spectrum? Or dose that mean something else I dont really want to have a partner or get married

Ok so I found out Im aroace bc my family always peer pressured me into getting a gf but Ive always had low self asteem for my self and so being constantly told I need a gf or have you got a gf yet just made me hate dating and see it as something that will just get in the way of life so I just see it as this game I dont want to play also bc I tried liking someone but it never really clicked like I did have feeling but I never wanted to date my friend also bc I just want a life style of gaming while being healthy and have money to live life.

Im kinda in a weird position, im aromantic but i have a girlfriend, i never realized that the love songs were actual feelings, i thought it was just exaderated, i do love my girlfriend but i dont feel the spark, sure, i think shes pretty, and i feel like we have a deeper connection than with anyone else i know but its not heavily romantic, it might be because we're ling distance but i dont know how to tell her im aromantic, im not sure if she will freak out and think i no longer like her

I am actually Aromantic and looking back on it, when I was Elementry School still, like, it wasn't romantic crushes, it was that child mind that made me believe that. But now I realized that I just really wanted and loved being friends with them. And another reason I'm Aromantic is because like. what is romantic attraction, like what? I never understood, still don't, never will and are not interested in a romantic relationship. OH WELL. all aros are valid! :D

What if i have had crushes, but i just didnt care to make it real and tell them. Idk ive never really had feelings for anyone to the point that i was gonna die if they didnt know how i felt. Having a partner excites me, sure, i love reading romance books but i know whats in books is far from real life. Every relationship ive ever seen has failed and the statement being with someone for good and bad just lost its validity to me. Every single one fails.

I have had a crush before who eventually became my boyfriend. He would say that he loved me and would send me heart emojis but that made me very uncomfortable and stressed me out a lot. I might be aromantic but idk if that counts. I thought I was but kissing and cuddling doesnt bother me. I like being single but I also want a partner to help take care of foster children and to have children of my own one day. I think Im aromantic but idk

One month ago I found out that I'm aroace, I'm really comfortable with that. I never respected my freedom, and did what should be done in a relationship, I never understood what means to have a crush, Every Time if people said something about the crush it just disgusted me or I feel uncomfortable, I'm kinda feeling lonely to not have a person like everyone else that are very close(or something) but at the same time I'm okay with that: )

Im 29 and never been interested in a relationship. Ive had 1 year long relationship and had crushes, but it only happens when Im interested in a particular someone and even then the idea of being in a relationship is daunting. Ive never felt lonely or a longing to find that someone. I simply dont care and have accepted that it is okay that I might not ever settle down with someone in a relationship.

I feel like this more and more. I feel romantic feelings sometimes, just not very strongly. I'll think I have a crush on someone and then after a bit it's just gone. It's confusing for me when a woman I've befriended or even slept with hits me with the, what are we question. Apparently, we're bros, yeah? Is never the right answer. After my last girlfriend I'm think I might be on the aro spectrum.

it is so hard realizing and accepting that I may be romantic cs I have dated before but never felt romantic shit and I had to fake it and try the hardest to make it feel like that. And I have been in love once but it wasn't the love that others would experience I felt so alone within my queer community. but now I am trying to accept fully that I may be aromantic
reply

I'm kind of a weird case. I have never dated anyone. I never really felt the need to or want to. I know some friends that are in relationships and hearing the drama that they have to deal with, it all just sounds like a headache to me and i don't want to deal with it. Would that make me aromantic? I honestly don't even know but it makes the most sense.
reply

just last year I realized I was apromantic (a variant of aromantic) and it was weird but so relieving to find out.
Apromantic (I'm my case) means you can be attracted to someone and develop crushes but without the need for them to be reciprocated/when they are reciprocated, you lose those feelings. Incase anyone was wondering: ]

I'm not sure if I wanted them but let me explain myself first I know have a crush on everyone when I was a kid I still don't I mean in real life but I don't know why but I have a crush on anime character boy girl whatever it don't really care just have a crush on them but in real life I have one for some reason I don't know why I just don't

I just wish my family was accepting of the fact I am happy by myself and understood that, my Mother always seems to be expecting me to introduce a girl to her every couple of months, and I cant even talk to my Dad about anything like this as he is too old school. Maybe one day I will wake up and they will realize I AM actually happy.
reply

idk for me. i just love romance etc, but i just dont understand what a 'heart pounding' rush is, or 'butterflies' in the stomach is. i do like boys once in a while, but i dont feel like that 'thing' with them. me getting a crush is actually once in a blue moon. i dont know if im aromantic or not- its so confusing for me; -;
reply

I remembered i faked a crush confession because i don't want to be left alone. And i already come clean of fake confession to them but yeah i just feel left out cause i have been alone without any communication with friends and cant relate to anyone because throughout the years i just look down well nvm thanks for reading.
reply

Well. I am just relieve there's actually a lot of people like me, because back then I thought I was the only one. People tend to joke that I was abnormal because normal people tend to feel certain and I can't. I don't. I sometimes lie. Yeah, I love that guy just to shut them up
I am just glad there's explanation.

reply

I realized I was aroace when this guy I knew confessed his feelings for me and its kind of hard to reject him so I just said me too even though I didnt have feelings for him and for the short time we were together I felt nothing I just kind of went with it. I also have never had a crush IN MY LIFE
