I could've never seen this at a better time. I recently had a session with my therapist last weekend and I was very excited to tell her the progress I've made for the whole month, but of course I also had to share the bad days I've had. Usually I'll go out of therapy feeling lighter and fulfilled, but this time I felt just plain empty, frustrated and disappointed with myself because I felt my progress were nonexistent and have been discredited. My therapist focused more on what I could've done more instead of what I've already did.
But now I feel like this is just a normal occurence in therapy. It doesn't have to be always a linear progress and I don't have to focus on things I haven't done yet. I'm currently on my way to start trusting the process and celebrating the small steps I've already taken. I can say I'm proud of what I've become now for the past month and I'm on the right track towards getting better.
As I'm writing this I actually shed a tear or two. I guess this is how it feels like loving myself genuinely for the first time. I can say now that I accept wholeheartedly who I am and my flaws. And I hope I can find soon the sense of self and confidence I always wish I had in order to maximize my potentials and be capable of the things I've always wanted in life.
I've been a silent viewer of Psych2go and this is my first time leaving a comment. Thank you always for the helpful content. You guys are lifesavers.

Guys, I need some advice. I normally enjoy being alone at home but when it comes to going out ( shopping, cafe dates, cinemaetc) I find that I don't have the ability to do such things alone. I have social anxiety and I feel like it's better when I don't go out in public on my own but at times I really want to do those activities alone but I don't know why I can't. And when I ask friends, at times they can't come or decide to postpone it to a later date but I want to do it right now. I'm sorry if that doesn't make any sense, I want to askwgat should I do? Should I practice going out alon, because I really want to, or is it what it is?

So I started working for a Concrete company and they asked me if I wanted to work through my lunch. the government usually say you have to take a break by law but for Concrete Drivers they say its ok not to because they Concrete can go bad if you take a lunch. at first I thought it was gonna be great because I was gonna get paid for all the time I was at work. I quickly realized how important it was to take a break. not only physically but also mentally. I was going crazy and I realized how important it was.

You ever hold back your romantic feelings for someone because you dont want lose the friendship. It doesnt help we only see each other very rarely due to circumstances. I been venting my passion in ways so next time I see her I dont carry my love language too spicy. Am bit of a spicy passionate lover I guess a woman wants the opposite of me possibly like an incense lover. Am in 30s part of my life theres no way am getting my incenses back

hi psych2go! i was wondering if you could possibly do a video on how to help with this whole climate change thing and to raise awareness to people? because it's actually so so serious and worrying and it has really taken a toll on my mental health and i bet others too, just knowing i have a safe environment during these hard times would really help me and many many others, thank you! I have this dream where I want to sleep every day surrounded by calm nature, so when someone built a long bench under a huge pomelo tree that I could fit in, I could not thank them more when I looked up in the sky, and when I closed my eyes I could feel my fixture is so straight that I could imagine myself looking like snow white. This is what I remembered when you said one with nature #justsharing

I really like the Me Time its so easy to get lost in the day to day grind of surviving and trying to get things done. Even i forget to give myself some time to chill and i realise that when i dont do that. I tend to negative talk instead of positive talk to myself since i sometimes feel like its hard to take a small break. Thank you for reminding us to be self aware of ourselves.

The advice Id give to somebody thats silently struggling is, you dont have to live that way. You dont have to struggle in silence. You can be un-silent. You can live well with a mental health condition, as long as you open up to somebody about it, because its really important you share your experience with people so that you can get the help that you need. I like how I talk to my therapist about clearing my schedule so I can have some me time and I get told that that will cause my mental health to worsen, I really just want a few days to focus on myself, make the changes in my life I want to make, and try to recover myself, its pretty attainable too, I just need the proper opportunity to seize

another advice, whenever you feel down or just feel like shit, just feel it, its the best you can do, if you dont want to do anything because of it, then dont, you have plenty of time and you dont need to rush to feeling better, sometimes its just better to let it out and just let the thing be, yknow

Up and down! My moods go up and down. I can't help it, because l get slammed with other people's stuff. I would rather be by myself than, be with someone who doesn't care about me. If you want me to do all your work and pay your bills, well. go find yourself another person to take care of you.

Literally just came out of a week of epileptic seizures & I was full of lots of lost & confusion. This is exactly what I needed. How to head towards 'me time' without shame or loneliness. And that it's okay to worry about what's bothering me, without overthinking it. Thank you!
