I've used some of these as a GM for the characters my players interact with. One of my highly socially adept characters is the only npc who calls one of the players by his given name instead of his nickname; while that can actually be a fopaw when this player introduced himself to this character he said he uses the nickname because his given name is hard for humans to pronounce and remember, thus by using it my highly social character shows greater care for that player that made him stand out so much my player was actually shocked and elated when it happened a couple of sessions after their meeting.

When it comes to interpersonal, social, interactions, assimilations, customs, and protocols, I range in the lower unsatisfactory range. I am socially retarded. However, I have circumvented the issue by having a job where I work completely alone and quit trying to find friends and a girlfriend long ago. I then reprogrammed myself to use the time I would have wasted seeking social contacts for constructive purposes that benefit me. Being social has very few benefits. But what I have, instead, filled my time doing is very beneficial. I find no reason to try to force myself to be social.

I can speak for most things on the list except for the positive outlook as good as seen here.
Still, I don't really have any friends or at least feel that way.
My best friend perhaps which I know for two decades now but she also gives me the feeling to forget me in situations I could really need her support.
I have been friends with my classmates for the longest time too but they started to turn into alcoholics during the pandemic and finding new friends is absolutely difficult to me as an highly introverted person with multiple traumas.

We can care about others and still forget names, some of us have genuinely bad memories. I tend to forget what I did yesterday. However, I can do all those, but I tend to forget people s names and not their faces. I might add that not everyone fits into the mold of this video and it s okay, people have different strengths and that doesn t mean some are better than others, but all are necessary.

Seem to have most of them aside from the remembering names and the public speaking which I ve always been bad at due to it just taking my awhile to learn names coupled with anxiety and being told I shouldn t speak because my voice is grating on the ears but I m working on it.

I'm a sort of socially intelligent autistic person, then I still struggle with reading others and understanding non verbal informations, and severe social anxiety makes it hard to be a public speaker, except by writing on social media. Does it count?
reply

Hey sorry if this is very random but these videos are very helpful but is there a feeling where your stomach starts to feel really anxious and you just start thinking about stressful times because it's kinda happening to me?
reply

The addressing by name part is so funny to me.
I am a software engineer and most of my friends are too. Sometimes we would hang out as a group of 6 and everyone addresses everyone by hey. It is truly chaotic

I ve had to put on a lot of different hats in my career, and being able to blend into many different crowds has benefitted me. Particularly due to the fact I can have a new group of coworkers every few months.
reply

I can read others, but others who also can do that can't read me, I like being this mysterious, also people don't get hurt by what I feel, becouse from their perspective they can only guess
reply

main goal is to have social skills and know how i'm meant to make a friend because i literally don't know what to do.
like i'm not even afraid of people (mostly) i'm just inexperienced lmfao

reply

Yes to all five, though I d have to say point 4 is a personal shortcoming (this is mostly due to lack of experience in this particular skill, and may improve with practice and exposure.
reply

i have a rational outlook on life apparently.
and i also don't really let negative things let me down too much, like i think i'm ugly. but i don't really care if i am or not.

reply

In my opinion, reading people is kind of observing the same which you already carry within you. it helps a lot to acknowledge certain expressions of others as well as our own.
reply

Well, reading people is a specialty of mine, with my Ni Fe combo, and of course my Ti can help out. Now if I just had the energy to utilize my Se for public speaking.
reply

For me i don't agree with changing your gender, you should like yourself the way you are but i don't turn them away because they are people to.
reply

Okay, I got 4/5! I'm excellent with most of these. But public speaking. I'd give myself a C+. Had to do it today and omg was I nervous.
