As the year is coming to an end, are you reflecting on the friends you want to keep or remove? If so, you're not alone. Choosing who we surround ourselves with can greatly impact the kind of success we have, the opportunities we get, and most importantly, our mental health. hm. my friends are all funny. i cant think of one who's been a motivator to me, i guess some are an optimistic dreamer, and there's some that i feel i can be myself around. come to think of it, i do try to be these kinds of friends to others, but i dont rlly think of the kind of friends mines are being to me. probably explains why half of me feels drained out or useless most of the time when im around certain friends.

OK, what I'm going to talk about is completely out of context but here goes, really I'm just looking for advice.
There's this girl (cliche, I know) and I have a huge crush on her. We met during fall semester a few months ago and Its crazy that I've gone basically my entire life as an outcast and I find someone just like me to the point where I think they're my twin flame.
We have been softly flirting with one another since we met. The first instance we both kept eye contact for a solid 20 seconds, a conversation without words because we got lost in each other for such a long instance. This has happened multiple times, and she blushes often when we're flirting. One very distinct instance that I keep going back to is when we were talking and we locked eyes again, I teased her by saying I think we keep doing this because we both have something to say to the other. and I ish you not she turns redder than a tomato, looks down, and suggests she doesn't (mind you she is smiling like a Cheshire Cat through all this and giggling like a child caught in a innocent lie)
Fast forward to the last week of classes 3 weeks ago. I've noticed at this point that she flirts a lot through physical touch especially in hand-to-hand contact. It has been well established in our platonic relationship that I am quite larger than her, since I am athletically built 175 lbs at around 5'10' and she's a very petite 80 lbs at 5'4'. She asks to compare hand sizes, and when our hands are touching she makes a move like she's trying to clasp mine, but she pulls back and lets our hands touch for a little longer. Not long after, she introduces the idea that we hang out at some point during winter break.
The Question: My ego is telling me that I should wait a long time before I make a move to ensure that if a relationship does happen it is built on trust and 'ride-or-die' mentality, but my id is telling me START DATING NNNOWW! , which should I do given the circumstances?
I've asked many of my friends and they all have suggested to send it and don't look back, while my religious leaders tell me that I should wait and listen to God over it, the problem with listening to God is that it is easy to mix it up with your own biases so I'm looking into the stranger's viewpoint now.

I've said this before on one of your videos, but I'll say it again. I use to have friends but I didn't feel love or care for them, they did but I didn't, plus he was micromanaging me, he wants me to be better in his image and do what he says, whatever I say or do he sees it wrong, he calls it I do it cause i love you and care for you. I didn't feel that. After being friends with him for 8 years, I decided to just do the dirty and leave him without telling him and this was the time where we rented an apt for only 4 months, I just couldn't take it, If I talked to him he wouldn't listen and try to say it's my fault or give me self reflection. What sucks is that he's smart, and I sometimes ask him for help. well, a lot, cause it's easier to tell someone who knows a lot of things. now it's been 2 years since I left him, which means 2 years of me being myself and doing whatever I want. I feel better, more relieved, and comfortable now.

+Psych2GoTv As an autist whom the school systems o' the late-20th-Century United States failed due to immature resources, I've agnosis on how to identify the five friends described below:
0: 27 1. The Motivator
0: 54 2. The Empathetic Listener
1: 26 3. The Optimistic Dreamer
1: 51 4. The Authentic, Open-Minded Friend
2: 23 5. The Funny Friend
Having yet to experience a Guiding Relationship as defined by Steven E. Gutstein Ph. D, I _have_ no friends to surround me. Internal, unconscious emotional blocks pathognomonic o' Kanner's not only derailed growth-seeking at mid-infancy but also prevented my learning relational fundamentals.

My social crowd has dramatically shrank over the years. You can be friends with people for years and still end up getting betrayed. That being said, I am thankful for the friends I have. They have always been true friends and some of them lifelong, over distance and time. We do nothing but laugh when we hang out, it's something that means the world to me.

You are worthy of love, kindness, and respect. You've been through so much you're not weak, you're brave look at everything you've been through and everything you've overcame, don't give up on yourself. The world would be changed if you died you can't be replaced there is only one of you, no matter what you're going through in life never forget that.

I appreciate having positive and motivating friends around me. It's essential to surround ourselves with people who are non-judgmental. Recently, I decided to end a toxic friendship and am now seeking open-minded individuals. It's a refreshing change, and I believe cultivating such connections contributes significantly to our well-being.

my friend that I've had for the past 8 years has been complete trash to me lately. She can't get over past events, acts completely cold, unkind I could go on. Everyone else seems to like her but she's shown me her true colors and I'm sick of her. I keep making terrible friends and I'm just so tired of it

Imma be honest I m an INFJ and I am the friend that is most of these, and I have friends that are most of these too. I personally think that if you look for people that show small acts of kindness to everyone that s a pretty good green flag that they are a good friend.

I'm happy with my current online and real life friend, not too much and not too small, enough to make a party or having fun together, my goal now is to make sure to always check on em while also keep them safe & company

the person Psych describes was me, at one time. I was at a thriving middle school, with a friend group I felt really comfortable with, and then, I moved schools an hour away, and I'm bullied daily. wish I could go back.

I like videos like this because they not only show you how to take care of yourself better but they also teach me how I can be a better person for my friends rather than just myself

I always have difficulty making friends. And if I have, it's hard for me to maintain friendships. It's make me feel I don't deserve a friend. Is it right to not having a friend?
reply

My friends lack communication and it hurts when I talk with them and we seem great then ghosted and get no reply even though they tell me to show up. It's painful.
