I have ADHD: Unfortunately, when it comes to ADHD, it's usually never alone. It's often paired with something like learning disabilities, dyslexia, or social skills challenges. But ADHD is never alone.
Here are a few tricks I use to manage it:
1. Background Music: Constantly have background music, preferably something you cannot understand. It helps focus.
2. Use GPT: It can take any text you want to write or say and fix it, reduce it, or take out any problematic material, depending on your needs.
3. Money Management: If you're on a fixed income, buy gift cards from your local grocery store. This way, the money isn't sitting in your account, but it's guaranteed to be there when you need it.
4. Parental Control Apps: Use these to enforce grayscale and time-out apps.
5. Lockbox Timers: These can help control impulsive actions.
6. Automation: Automate your life with actual automation. For example, have your bank automatically pay bills before they're due, or automate lights and cooking equipment.
7. Create a Cave of Solitude: When working, block out as many distractions as possible. Use grayscale and curtains to separate your office from entertainment areas.
8. Routine: Have a routine and try to stick to it, even if it means leading a boring life.
9. Hold True to Your Imagination: Write a book, draw, or make a movie. Even if you fail, keep trying.
10. Link Motivation: Link something that motivates you to something that doesn't. For example, write a story in your head while running, using a voice recorder to capture your thoughts.
11. Organize Everything: Compartmentalize everything: social life, work, play, clothing, toys, everything. Personalize it down to the wire.
These are just some of the ideas that help me manage my ADHD.

Living with ADHD is something I have struggled with for my whole life. I struggle with many different mental disorders and by far, ADHD is the final boss. ADHD has made my life miserable. I’ve lost friends, jobs, and can’t even get into relationships because of it. I understand there are people who have ADHD, but are high functioning. However, in my case, I’m severe and it is something I would not even wish on my enemies. I’ve had so many embarrassing moments because of this, as I tend to be very impulsive with my decisions and don’t even take the time to think before I act or say. Living with ADHD, has turned me into a social outcast and I’ve been isolated for too long because of this.

As someone with concentration issues, I don't have ADHD but this is my advice: make a notebook of thoughts, feelings and actions and create a daily plan. Before you do something, ask yourself out loud whether you need to do it or you are doing it out of impulsivity and do something productive such as studying or self care eg hygiene as impulsivity for the wrong things may result in unhealthy habits or neglecting self care. Make a list of what you do a day. Thinking before you do any task will really help you out and journalling will get your thoughts out.

Fantastic video! ADHD impulsivity can feel overwhelming, but understanding how your brain works is the first step to regaining control. The expert strategies shared, like identifying triggers, creating obstacles, and managing emotions, are invaluable. Implementing these techniques can transform impulsive actions into thoughtful decisions, improving daily life.
Take control of your impulses, and turn chaos into calm.

I'm 14, and I've ruined a lot of my relationships because of these impulses. I never knew what was wrong with me until I saw this video and realized that my ADHD could play a role. I always hated myself when I couldn't give a straight answer on why I did something because I didn't even know why I did it. Thank you for making this video. I will now work on my self-improvement this summer.

ADHD as a disorder doesn’t exist. Why do people choose to put labels on other, perfectly normal people. It’s just how they are smh. If I was to murder a million people right now, would you label me with a mental disorder

I definitely have ADHD (and maybe autism) because, my entire life, I accidentally say, do or think things out loud, which puts me in unpleasant situations. Impulsivity is one of my biggest weaknesses. You have no idea what it's like.

Few days ago a boy said to me that: - many boys will come and go and till today that sentence hasn't left my mind . What does it really mean

This is very very, very true. I have autism and I also have ADHD and like my parents yell at me all the time it’s very annoying and I cry, but that’s not the point very relatable.
