Pov: You escaped the walking zombies in the city, you went into a rural area or a remote area and you saw a factory, you explored, minutes later a bunch of running zombies started chasing you and you escaped again. You went into a forest far away from that factory. You accidentally entered a swamp infested of zombie virus. Seconds later a skinless zombie covered in mud came out and you shot it with your gun and more zombies came out, you escaped the place. You went into a town with villages and farms and you explored and minutes later a bunch of crawling zombies came out and started chasing you, you escaped quickly cuz they are pretty slow. You left the town and went into another forest and you saw an abandoned old building, you started exploring and minutes later you heard a voice of a man saying a language you cant understand, seconds later a bunch of armed men caught you and tied you in a chair, one of them said another language and one of them picked up a bat and swinged it on your head causing you to fall asleep. You woke up tied down in a wood, and you realized you dont have a leg anymore and you saw the armed men eating your legs, one of them asked their leader in a language you cannot understand and pointed a gun at you and shot you, you died.

The boat idea works best. Provision your boat for several weeks, then anchor close to a zombie-infested island. Wait for the zombies to kill / eat each other and all remaining non-zombies, then to run out of food themselves and to die, like REALLY die. Then come ashore and start growing crops and whatnot, or harvesting crops the zombies were smart enough to figure out. Presumably there would be at least some animals able to outrun the zombies. Once the zombie infestation burns out, you don't have to worry about any new zombies reaching your island stronghold.

Then come ashore and start growing crops and whatnot, or harvesting crops the zombies were smart enough to figure out. Presumably there would be at least some animals able to outrun the zombies. Once the zombie infestation burns out, you don't have to worry about any new zombies reaching your island stronghold.

I would go to Easter Island: It's isolated, low population, and self-sufficient. It has proved itself in the past to be the site of a great civilization despite being thousands of kilometers away from the nearest land. It has an airport (if the military wanted to bring people in) a ship port, and a town. Plus, lots of fertile land, and cliffs that prevent any zombies that wash up on shore to reach the population. If I were in this scenario, I would take my friends and family, hijack a cargo ship with lots of supplies, and take it to Easter Island.

Some people want to go to snow and super cold areas. I find that insane.
You are walking through forest with 3 feet of fallen snow on the ground. How do you know that there aren't zombies just right underneath that thick layer of snow. They rot slower so they last longer. Whenever it warms up they are released from being frozen to attack again. After a thousand years there will still be frozen zombies after 100 years in the desert all the zombies will be gone. Don't go to snow.

I have already been to this place multiple times. This place would be very safe, and there's a detail you forgot to mention: the island is surrounded by quicksand. You need a guide if you want to visit the surroundings. Also, you must be very careful, because the tide can sometimes reach the speed of a horse. The Mont St Michel is also very beautiful.

If you read the zombie survival guide you would know that the safest place is a second-story that you take out the stairs with an axe. At that point you use a ladder to get in and out. Bonus points if the staircase leads to a basement once you take out the stairs.
