Why Planes Don't Fly Over Tibet Few Points missed out are 1) If Plane flies at FL40000, Less by average Land Height 15, 000 Ft, Means net altitude is 25, 000. In this cruise altitude Fuel consumption will be very very high, uneconomical and possible fuel starvation. 2) Operating Landing and Take off at these altitude (15, 000) is very difficult for most modern Aircrafts they are designed to initiate flights at much lower altitudes. Rate of flow of Air is almost constant over wings with plus x(Small x. So that to achieve right speed to Take off and Landing will be much above normal for wing grip speed and often beyond limits of wheel bearings, Tyers capacity. 3) Even engine will not give sufficient thrust at that altitude to attain speed to take off and Thrust reverse.

You convinced me with these two reasons: difficult to land in case of emergency and the turbulence. I think the turbulence you mentioned can be caused by the air upward motion of diverted by the mountain and by convection which is also enhanced by the mountain. However, you said the fuel will freeze if they flight over Tibet didn't convince me. Since plan flight over 10km above, the temperature at that level is already very low. At that level, the temperature over Tibet is similar to other places at the similar latitude.

Great video as always! I've seen the peaks of Mt. Everest and Lhotse from a plane's window as the captain announced the peaks were clearly visible on the left side of the plane when I took New Delhi - Guwahati flight at 5 in the morning. To see the whole range of the Himalaya was a sight I would cherish forever, it was magnificent to think that we were flying above 30, 000 ft high and just on the side was that snow covered peaks sitting there like a wall!

Boring. You don't want to fly over turbulent areas.
What's more exciting is that the following are prohibited flight zones in USA:
- Thurmont, Maryland, site of Presidential retreat Camp David
- Amarillo, Texas, Pantex nuclear assembly plant
- Bush Ranch near Crawford, Texas
- Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia
- Naval Base Kitsap, Washington

I took a flight from Kathmandu to Chengdu, China and I believe we flew over Tibet for a short while as I could see it on the IFE map. I experienced THE worst turbulence of my life and we began to feel the plane would break into pieces. All of it made worse by manic screams from fellow passengers.

Clearly this region is owned by the world's 100 richest people, where they all travel to gold mansions and shoot woolly mammoths with diamond machine guns. The Illuminati refuses to allow planes overhead or people will see them.

It's about -44C at 30, 000ft everywhere on Earth, temperature has nothing to do with not flying there.
But you were right when you said that 10, 000ft is less than 14, 000ft, so thanks for taking a minute or two to explain that.

My great grandpa was part of the flying tigers the region was called the hump. He said the Japanese would hide in the mountains and shoot down the planes they were in. He said it was the most scary time of his life.

Well, this certainly clears up a lot for me. I was thinking that maybe there was one of those poltergeist portals to Hell or maybe an alien home base or something like that. But this makes more sense.

Most of the population living in Tibet is Chinese army or the Chinese communist party people. the native Tibetians have been kicked out of there long ago by land grabbing mafia which is the CCP!
reply

Due it its high altitude and harsh weather conditions in that region it is impossible for planes to fly over in tibet but however there is an airport in the capital of Tibet
reply

its bonkers that over 1500 pilots died while the military tried to fly over the mountains. imagine having that job basically knowing for a fact youre going to die
reply

If you know The Hump during the second World War, you will know the reason why air plane not choose crossing over TIBET. The high accident possibility.
reply

Gee, could it be the 20000ft mountain range and lack of emergency landing. Do we find out in the next video why the itsy bitsy spider didn't make it?
reply

Mountain to high for airplane but some major human on earth believe people can go to moon and outside earth where climate so harsh there. Wake up people
reply

just like going, because of the mountains at the headline, lots wind latter yup it was because of the mountains basically. hooray
reply

Just checked flightradar24 and there are 2 flights going across now - 1 hongkong to leipzig and another from Cologne to Shenzen
reply

My wife and her 2nd-grade genius student saw a video on this because he wants to be a pilot one day. The wind was turbulently so scary.
reply

If planes were flying there people would see tibetan masters fighting in the sky and this could break the simulation.

Summary:
Mountains high, scary for plane to land (spooky)
Mountains cold, can freeze the fuel (brrr cold)

reply

I thought since Tibet and the rest of Mainland China were enemies, planes could get shot down over Tibet Airspace
reply

Kuala Lum-PURR? ----
Sure you're not thinking of Kuching (cat in Malay.
It's pronounced Kuala Lum-poor.

reply

China might not like it. A number of the tallest mountains on the planet are there. It-s cold that high.
