I'm a big history nut and the history of the Romanoffs and there down fall is one of my favorites to learn about next to the Tutors/royal family. When I was still in school Iwrote an entire paper in my 12th grade English class about the animated movie because of how much I love that film and I made sure add in the paper some real facts about the Romanoff family and the real Anastasia along with how a woman did claim to be her. Not only did I pass the class but I later found out my teacher was a big fan of the movie as well in she let the whole class have a work day so we could watch the movie its one of my favorite memories from HS.

Anna must have been a serious royal watcher since she did know a lot of things about the family; maybe she spent a lot of time imagining she was one of the Romanov girls and following their exploits in the news. The girls and their mother actually did sew jewels inside their corsets and it did deflect the bullets to some extent, which increased their suffering. Anna must have heard rumors about the jewels, especially if she was always on the alert for news of the royal family.

Not sure if that photo on 3: 59 is Olga Alexdrovna Nicholas II's sister. It looks more Nicholas' II eldest daughter Olga. Yes the daughters did have jewelry hidden in their corsets. After Nicholas, Alexandra and the third daughter Maria arrived in Ekaterinburg their personal luggage was searched so Alexandra sent a letter (coded) instructed to the other girls to hide the jewelry which was sewn into their corsets.

The fact that she knew private intricate details about The family leads me to believe she somehow had a connection to the daily lives of the Tsars family Ie staff/nanny or was the child of a worker of the family alt she had psychic abilities and was able to tap into energies from members who actually knew the family

I remember seeing a movie (possibly miniseries) when I was very young about the Anastasia imposter. But I have a vague memory of the movie implying she really was Anastasia. This would have been in the late 70s/early 80s. I remember my mom was watching it after my bedtime but I somehow ended up watching it with her.

3: 16 is NOT the imperial family.
Nicholas & Alexandra had 4 daughters & 1 son (Olga, Tatiana, Marie, Anastasia & Alexei.
Do you not verify your photos? (Many other photos are incorrect, as well. )
And the Dowager Empress was Nicholas II's mother, Marie Feodorovna, formerly the Danish princess Dagmar.

Some people will believe anything, no matter how farfetched. Some people won't believe anything, no matter how overwhelming the evidence for it is. I consider Anna Anderson's claims to be firmly disproven, but believing she was Anastasia is still more rational than believing in a flat earth.

Well, sometimes people want to believe something unrealistic because the truth is too hard like the kids of Newtown weren't shot or JFK is returning to Dallas to rule with Trump or Trump really won the election. If there was social media in 1912 I'm sure there would be Titanic deniers!

The Romanov women did have diamonds and jewels seen inside their corsets and clothing. The billets bounced off the women and several shooters ran believing that God was protecting them as the Tsar was appointed by God Himself and His supreme ruler on Earth.

The saddest part is the mental health treatment she probably received. back then it was just hydro and shock therapy. not to mention all the abuse which happened in virtually all facilities. truly awful she deserved peace of mind

I think she was a poor sad mentally ill Women that just wanted to escape her hardships and when someone thought she was the lost princess she took the idea and went with it. Unfortunately you cannot hide from the truth.

I think she perished with her family. if she did survive she probably would have not been so in the public eye. this woman just wanted money and royalty. Some folks don't know when to quit.

Why would anyone believe this their eyes ate not even the same. Also my face did not change that much from when I was 17 to she 23, which age 17 was the last time anyone saw Anastasia.

Your video states that Anna Anderson Lost her Lawsuit in 1970. In truth the courts declared that they could neither confirm Nor deny that she was the Grand Duchess.

Pretty sure they found the remains of Alexei and, probably Anastasia, later though they were buried elsewhere. I'll have to double check where I saw that, though.

There is a really amazing book by Mary Higgins Clark called The Anastasia Syndrome that truly is great and, I promise, you won't see the ending coming!

They not too long ago found both her and her brother's skeletons a few feet away from where they had originally found the rest of the family.

So if they used Prince Phillips DNA to test the remains, then that means he and his wife Queen Elizabeth are distant cousins. Never knew that

The accent isn't on the final syllable. Great, entertaining information, but the mispronunciation made it very difficult to listen to.
