Its kinda depressing seeing how writers treated arthas like trash in shadowlands like pure disrespect towards him. Even tho he was desperate tryin to save his kingdom to the point freeing frostmourne just for him to get controlled by it over time, he was alone and abandoned by all so no wonder it was easy to control him. I could rant for who knows for who knows how long but shame on you blizzard and your writing team that retconned every single detail just so you can give us the absolute horrid of an expansion.

We all know why they did this to the Lich King it was because they viewed him as a toxic male role model. It sucks, but they did the same thing to Luke Skywalker. They turned both him and Arthas into nothing more than farts in the wind. Women, regardless of how evil they are, will always get a pass at Blizzard. I fully expect to see Sylvanas fully redeemed in the Midnight expansion because they worship her even though she was 100 times more evil than Arthas.

Shadowlands had so much potential. Finding out that our universe was constructed by the first ones, on top of whatever came before, and things existing beyond out universe. I had really hoped the expansion was going to end with the Jailer being right, and it turning out the system was broken and the constructions of the first ones should have never been built in the first place.

no it doesnt make sense. what jailer warns us is higher threat than void, void is part of cosmos so jailer wants void and light and everything to gather up and fight againts something together.
so light-void-life-death-order-chaos he wants these cosmic groups to combine and fight againts something together in future but we dont know what is to come but its not void.

I will be honest, this is what killed my enthusiasm for WoW. Arthas was my first favorite character in Warcraft 3, and for years I wanted a redemption arc. Then came Matthias Lener (sp) in Icecrown, and so many opportunities to make it happen. How do they end it instead Some random afterlife dude no one likes turns him into a wisp that fades away. LAME!

Blizzard and Disney represents The Solicitors, The ones who uses familiar source material to cash-in, and disrespects the love for the franchise! Don't care who it offends: Arthas was done dirty and deserved more. Lazy writing and the same goes for Garrosh. Not sure why Sylvanas got the tap. Wish the original story crew was still there at Blizzard, but it is clear that is not the case.

You know, if they had run with this as his plot from the start - seizing the opportunity to claim Azeroth’s world soul to massively tip the power balance in the universe to Death, this whole expansion would have played out much better.

Really hate how much screen time Sylvanas got at Arthas' final moment. It should have been for Jaina's and Uther's moment, not that witch spitting her hatred at him, wafting him away like a pest. Disgraceful.
