Megan was cool, clearly a Cloverfield. prequel Awesome to see Mr. Slusho himself (Ganu Yoshida) Might not click with people who aren't Clover fans. a B grade imo.
I got nothing out of story two. Guy is in solitary, some dude with a teleporter device, ship comes and hovers, people supposedly taking things from it. Inmate admits (to no avail) that he was guilty, random teleguy shows up again, gets shafted while guilty inmate goes free. .Ooooookaaaaay Everything is just disjointed about it. D imo.
Third one. Programmable matter comes out of an alien effigy. Cool story bro. C- imo.
Fourth. Ummmm did his kids get abducted or something Great singing, but. again, just disjointed mashup of wat. D imo.
This is why I'm not a fan of ET shorts. 100 questions, 0 answers. I dunno, guess I'm not pretentious enough to understand the oh-so deeper meaning

1. Not even worth a rating. Started with nothing and ended with nothing. Too short to actually provide a plot.
2. This one was worth watching. But why did the prison forget about the prisoners What happened to Houston's mom Civilization looked perfectly normal other than the ship on the horizon.
3. A good Old Ones horror story. But it never bothered to explain WHAT the artifact did other than make hentai tentacles.
4. The worst of the lot. Too busy, huffing its own farts showing random vistas and flashbacks, with nothing indicating aliens were involved.

My stab at the last one: I think the guy was in love with or related to the woman in some way, and lost her somehow in real life. Hence why he's alone in a park day-drinking, then the Orb sends him to some obscure afterlife where he gets to see her again but doesn't remember her IDK. The random home video of kids makes me think they're related. And also some of her lyrics were A fool never sees the light Which he literally had to get chased down by a ball of light to see her. I'm just taking a shot in the dark here don't chew me up in the comments lol.

The first film's scenes did not match up. The helicopter scenes at the beginning looked real. They could have been part of a blockbuster. However, once the choppers crashed the quality went to shit. I don't know why Science fiction movie creators keep having lights illuminating the insides of helmets The wearer would be blinded by glare and reflections coming off the visor. Has anyone ever been driving their car at night when a passenger switches on a light inside the car Your vision is dangerously hindered! Same with a helmet!

What's the point of the first 1 And the second 1 is confusing even though the ship arrived the world outside the prison is functioning as normal (people walking around, car's driving around, shop's doing business ect) so why was all the inmates left to die No guards checking on the locked down inmates the power turned off the water turned off no food ect! I don't understand why the world is as usual besides the ship but the prison population was left alone to die it doesn't make any sense.

What if the 4th short is about a boy falling into a coma after a bicycle accident. and he is dreaming and making up his own future as a grown up. Nevertheless, he is constantly threatened to wake up, seeing the light (or the end of the tunnel) and with the impression that his (alternative) world is crumbling apart, especially when meeting another similar victim

I love how so many of these comments pretend to know what the premise truly is in these shorts while being as clueless as I am. Of course the last one was alien abduction.
In Echoes in the Ice, I was wondering what the purpose was for the guy tipping the file cabinet over and then it hit me; all movies must have at least one goon.

The guy in the third one that said right on, I've seen him before or he has a doppleganger. He looks just like the guy who played some one called 'devil' in one of the Gangland docu series about infiltrating the Outlaws MC, except this time he has hair on his head. His eyes look like no one else.

Nice one frame blip ending. So obligatory. What No vomit scene No car chase. Oh, no car chases in a short, only vomit scenes.
Try next time to make the ending much shorter. Instead of a one-second blip, howzabout a 2 nano second blip ending that just goes so fast that no one can see it

Great cinematography and production but pacing was far too slow and the storyline confused (don’t confuse mean and moody for meaningful. Would certainly like to see more but needs much better pacing to draw the viewers in we make something for the viewers not our film schoolmates

Unfortunately I can't make out a single word of the prologue. I can't imagine my phone is the only one on
which this is a problem-- I wish filmmakers/editors/etc would consider this for pieces likely/made to be posted online, and use a larger font!

Is Megan is joke or what I dont get all that hype, they showed literally nothing and its doesnt makes sense on its own. Something happened, somebody was transported on choppa and then everyone died. Wow.
reply

Dumb I didn't like any of these except the time travel one a tiny bit the videos all start without any type of conclusion I'm starting to see why my eyes keeping swerving away from these dust videos

Obviously they both could've teleported out but the white dude wouldn't help and got left in blacks position. think how i feel when i noticeed they would use my technology against me as God - Math=42
reply

i do not like dry characters like it was played in the first, but i do like scifi very much, someone really should bring first and fourth together! Also the actress of the second play is amazing!
reply

I think the last story about the light was the most incomprehensible. It didn’t put a single idea or question into my head. But the blues singer was pretty good. Nice voice.

but in reality if such tech exists it has to create an beacon of the user at the best case he is now blight, neither black or white, in the worst case a nuclear bomb.

Any helicopter pilot was taught when you lose power, you don't pull collective. YOU drop collective and perform an autorotation. Who was the technical advisor here
reply

I didn't expect this to be this good thanks guys except for the sudden endings, dam leaves alot of unanswered questions especially the first one
reply

Aliens are definitely here. But realize they could make more bank by selling tickets to this Clown Show instead of simply taking it over.
reply

Nectar, under the sea. Slusho drink. A minute in and I’m getting Cloverfield vibes meets Battle, Los Angeles anticipation. Interesting.

I want more! Please finish this story and bring it to a coherent conclusion, please. I feel like a junkie and I must have my fix!
reply

not one of those was any good. sure, production wise good
but they made absolutely no sense.
i had thought DUST - were good.

Effects are easy; it's just money and repeating. Story lines require mind ingenuity and fresh thinking, currently in short supply.
reply

I remenber when the first one was thought to be part of the J. J Abrams Clover field movie seres, boy, the 2010s were weird
reply

I find it oddly satisfying that the person whose mask broke kept it on, where as in most movies, they'd take it off immediately.
reply

Dust is best. You always leave me with the most interesting questions. I hope to reinvent myself. If it's not to late.
reply

I thought the 2nd one would have him going back to rescue the dude. well that's how I'm writing my 2nd act anyways.
reply

This is not original idea as far as sci-fi goes. There's American movie the files exactly the same kind of story line
reply

Weak storylines. I was expecting more from this. If you came to me with this film, I'd have to say (Do a rewrite)
reply

this make no sense, it's just a nightmare of the future. Even more, there is no future for this kind of thing, no!
reply

A prisoner has unfettered access to a phone Lets the story down right there. The rest is good though.
reply

Everything was great, except the plot. The main storyline started out interesting then went into a tail spin.
reply

I like sci-fi but I just don't get these dust movies at all. I will find something else to watch.
reply

Some of those stories are a leak of information, left to your own conclusion. all you have to do is analysis.
