A woman struggles to adjust to her new life in a human zoo exhibit on an alien planet. Connect with the Filmmakers: Kepler X-47 Ultimately there are two kinds of people. Those that outsource their knowledge, wellbeing and responsibilities and those that do not. Which of these do you think returns to the cage Most of them would have never left to begin with. Always remember that only those that truly love you will have equal or greater interest in your wellbeing than you do and most of the people that would guide your path dont even know you, let alone love you. Also know that both can be wrong in their wishes for you. Do you make the choice or do they

I cant see many people talking about something pretty huge in this short, as the guy gets dragged away he says 'look for the light'. When she leaves theres a blinking light in the distance, this could have been help, maybe some sort of ally or alien that thinks the zoo is cruel. Maybe she noticed but she decided the journey was too much and the freedom wasn't worth it.
Super interesting

Answer honestly. Imagine you are given the genuine opportunity to go to an isolated island or planet where you would be given anything you want. The best food, the best house, gardens, swimming pool, a collection of luxury cars or any material objects you desire. The catch is you are not allowed any contact with any other human beings. No emails, no chat, no phone, etc. Would you take it

I like the ending. somehow all of us live in a prision from which we dream to scape. Sometimes, somehow we persuit the light but at the same time we do not want to see it. II do not know if Mss Erinli tried to send that message but that is what I got. . It is similar to the tale in the Quijote when a lion has the door of his cage open but he does not want to scape.

Cosmic horror sans monsters. This short conjures up feelings of helplessness and insignificance while suggesting there may be a longer story about finding meaning in the monotony of human existence. Could the watchers come to disagree among themselves over the ethics of Kepler-X-47 or the supposed limits in scope to human motivations Lots of potential with this one

Weak minded in the end, better to have kept running into the Unknown! Or better to have committed suicide that stay in the Lockdowns/Alien Zoo. It’s a Reminder of what the Governments inflicted on humanity in 2020/21 and all the unnecessary restrictions based on zero science! All for Profit & Power.

The theme of this film seemed as though it was about the isolation, lonliness, and 'priveledge' of what it is like to travel to a new environment.
Imagine how the first American settlers felt when they had to leave the Eastern region of the U. S. or leave England for that matter.

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by! I'm a huge fan of DUST and honored to screen Kepler X-47 here. This film was inspired by my experience of chasing what I believed to be the American Dream. I'm forever grateful to the cast, crew, and backers who funded the film. Hope you enjoy!

set dressing was pretty lacking if im honest. meant to believe its an alien zoo despite the fact you can clearly see the copper piping around the room: / plus the dining area is just a black void. the alien landscape at the end was well done though so credit where its due.

Another example where the viewers (all of us) are led to believe we've just watched something intelligent, when in fact all of us have just wasted the precious few minutes of our lives watching trash.
Wait. Am I describing what we've just watched, or.

i would rather keep running fight with all struggles and keep moving towards that blinking light then going back i would love to die 100 times in freedom knowing that there is struggle every step out there then just living 1 long life in prison

This would be great a show. Dont tell the auidence its aliens until like season two. Make it seem supernatural for a while, ppl trapped, maybe a simulation vibe but then bam its this senario. They try and free earth later. Lots of potential.
reply

Everyone is led to believe there are only two options in this short film; run or submit. There is a third option, what if you could somehow gain the aliens' trust and learn what they know to become kind of like an equal that would be cool.

interesting short --- this is not so far from the truth, because earth is a prison planet, one could say. but returning to that zoo cage is unthinkable in my mind. i'd rather die escaping, out in the open land, to die on my own terms.

Inspired by the Twilight Zone episode 'People are alike all over' with Roddy McDowell and Susan Oliver. This inspiration Is a well done bit of sci-fi bit of horror.

Is it an entire species of sweater hands ppl Those types always do just stand around. They must have been set up by someone else, never having to do anything remotely manual.

You could easily turn this into a reg movie, it would be very very interesting considering the planet & star system that this is supposed to be in. would be awesome!

If only they had better writers. Some good production value, but relatively empty story. Too many Dust offerings are rather lackluster or otherwise disappointing.

I like the use of dissonance in the score. It communicates the uneasy feelings the actors are going through. Well shot, well acted, well finished in post.
