In the end of film the alien says they are still animals. Do true in the facts and the image that we still react off our primitive fight or flight emotions that is cost more Calamity in this world. Instead of learning how to control that part of us and put it away when it is needed and not when it's convenient. It reminds me of a scripture that is mentioned in all main religions in different words with the same meaning. But here's the gist of it we can act as a beast or we can act as the spirit. What you saying we can act off our primitive emotions from our body or we can look deeper inside ourselves and our consciousness and choose the part that is light and not Darkness. It can be very difficult and confusing because sometimes what we think is right isn't and sometimes what we feel is wrong is in either Discerning is a very important and hard thing to learn. But the more we pull ourselves away from the world and come back to our true internal selves and listen in the quietness away from all things you will hear the echoing of the greatest of all your True Image in the one of God the true God.

Looks interesting, but the dialogue is being buried by the music and sound effects, making it extremely difficult to understand. This is one of those times when captioning would be very helpful. I think I can make out the story thanks to the few bits of dialogue I can understand. The animation is very well done, would love to see this story taken to the next level.
Edit: So the captions ARE working (thanks px43. That helped improve my appreciation for this piece. It might help to EQ the soundtrack so that the narration stands out a bit more. It took me a while to realize it was in english.

Nah. Everybody is saying stuff like this because it's fashionable, but nobody bothers to sort out if it's real. It's not. I guess they taught their children competition instead of empathy. That sounds profound and poetic, but it's fake. Competition and empathy aren't an either/or. Bill gates is touted as a big philanthropist. Elon Musk has sent Starlink for free to troubled regions. These are, obviously, very competitive men, but they demonstrate considerable empathy too. Everyone has both by nature. You can't teach one and eliminate the other.

To me this is less pessimistic than humbling and thoughtful: a historian's commentary on humanity from a very removed viewpoint. We had our time and passed, like so many species before us. And hey, the rodents outlasted us, no surprise!
Well-crafted.

Visually beautiful and a thought provoking message. However had to turn the captions on to get the message. Impossible otherwise to understand.
Yes, i often wonder how the 21st century will be summed up by people, say, 1000 yrs from now

They'd be animals (xeno-analogous) too, tho, considering that individual appeared to be biological (xeno-analogous)
They may have reached a post biological way of life, but in the end, the little jerk basically called humans non-sapient

I feel this would be much better than it already is least visually if the storytelling itself was visual, rather than exposition by some bot that translates everything into English for no apparent reason.

The audio is terrible. Everything is packed into a very narrow band of high frequencies and there's so much reverb/delay that it's almost impossible to discern anything.
reply

Great visuals. No idea what it's about. Couldn't understand more than scraps of the dialogue.
Edit: from another comment I learned about the subtitles. They work fine.

Poor audio design (read: mixing and excessive reverb when used) really hurt this visually interesting movie. I couldn't understand the majority of the spoken words.

If so much relied on dialogue, it should be prime in the soundtrack, anything else just background. Little bit of audio editing needed but overall well done!

Reminds me of the great Nintendo Wii console game Earth Seeker
A female adventurer looking for clues of a past forgotten civilization

reply

Oh, man, that was wonderful. The animation was superb, the dialogue/monologue was touching. Although very short, it was very beautiful.
reply

i couldnt understand a single word that was being said. Which is sad because the animations and music were fkn incredible
