10 Extremely UNFAIR Quests in Video Games Novakayne: The lightning dodging in FFX is one the worst experiences I've ever had in any rpg game ever, even moreso than the chocobo racing and butterfly catching. They don't even have the decency to put a counter on the screen so you know how many bolts you have dodged, your forced to keep track yourself will dodging random lightning bolts because also there's no sort of pattern to how the bolts strike. At least make it like an evolving difficulty rhythm game mechanic were we can eventually grow and learn the patterns on the way to 200 strikes. Nope, these devs are like I hate you, dodge 200 RNG lightning bolts and by the way we aint counting nothing for you

No offense, But the FF Tactics fight mentioned I don't really think is all that difficult. Malak can take a shot and normally retreats towards your group and usually stays there during the rest of the fight. The enemy 100% concentrates on your progressing units and Malak normally only takes a hit from the Knight on the drawbridge and potentially 1 arrow from one of the archers on the garrison.
Now when I heard Rooftop fight in FF Tactics I thought you meant the rooftop where you first encounter the Assassins and the Vampire (can't find his name to save my life). Now that is a difficult rooftop battle. One the Assassins can petrify you very easily and also the Vampire is very good with his Samurai ability which hits for massive damage.

The Behemoth quest in Monster Hunter World is honestly the worst ever MH quest. I never have had a game, with a mission, that I couldn't beat in the end.
The first time such a thing happened was with a Dark Souls game. After many tries and some months off. I went back to it and beat it.
But with the Behemoth quest. I failed so many times, took multiple breaks from the game. Failed again multiple times. Saw no progress whatsoever. That I eventually just didnt wanna bother with it and gave up on it, forever. I have never fully given up on a game/mission until this mf showed up. It felt like such a waste of time, every time I failed the quest

Uhhhh gta5 forced torture gameplay honestly im disgusted at Rockstar look they GIVE us the choice to play, sandbox way, yes running over hookers and all i get it. BUT tortures another thing like its. Strange honestly i never acted crazy in gta or evil. Unless people said shit. Especially rdr2 oh i love taking them to the woods.
And like i get making someone suffer who is a loser piece of sht.
BUT in gta5 that torture gameplay was in depth and LONG and AND on some alleged innocent dude who seemed sweet and was pleading and begging you to stop. Like.
Come on. No, game would of been a 10 out 10. Its a 9 because of that

I did all those gambler challenges in RDR2 and got the best in the west achievement, it didn't take as long as I thought it was going to take but I literally did everything else required and left those for last. The hardest challenges were the birds that you had to hunt and the legendary fish. One of my legendary fish fell back in the water and I couldn't collect it without John Marston starting to drown, I think I eventaully got it but it was a bit of a glitchy nightmare. The birds though! OMG! The birds were tiny and you had to use a certain pellet gun in order to get it perfect without damage or it wouldn't count.

Driver was AWESOME!
It actually was challenging, unlike most driving games. Once you learned the driving mechanics, how to corner at speed and such, it s not entirely impossible. A lot of it does come down to chance, just like a real vehicle getaway does.
It was groundbreaking when it comes to driving games. The driving mechanics themselves can be seen being adopted by virtually ever driving game since. Before driver, driving games didn t take into account things like how the suspension was being compressed on different wheels. The vehicles in Driver handled almost exactly the way real vehicles do.

Aah yes. The President's Run.
So quick funny story. My mother bought my brother and I a PS1 waaay back when and it came with Driver. We had been free-roaming for weeks before we realised the Undercover stage was a story mode. So we managed to beat it one day and started playing through it from morning. We got through all the cities and got to the infamous President's Run. Some car hit me so hard that the game hang. Now at this time, we didn't have any memory card. Guess who lost all their progress. Eventually we got one and beat the game but that was one heck of a disappointment after a full day of gaming.

(16-Bit) The final boss on Ecco the Dolphin, The tail swinging on The Lion King, The Jumping Man Traps on Rolo To The Rescue, Pretty much all of Ghosts N Goblins/Ghouls N Ghosts.
(Old PC) The amoeba board game on 7th guest, Monkey Island and Discworld puzzles that were random as heII and made no sense, things that just wouldn't occur to you naturally to try and do.
(PS2) the RC planes on GTA San Andreas
Penalty shoot outs again the computer in any football game, it knows what you pressed!
FF7 - where the monster in the desert could just randomly blow your characters completely away off screen.

Not quest related per se, but Nioh 2 bosses hitting you with a non-blockable grab attack that insta-kills you as soon as you step into the room can be pretty unfair. Seriously the RNG in that game is broken. And there are times when you do the thing and the game is like nope, you're dead anyways. Rage inducing. I'm also convinced that some bosses in Elden Ring have moves that will cancel your button inputs. Like as soon as they wind up a certain attack, it don't matter if you hit the roll button way in advance or perfectly on time or not, you just don't move.

As someone that platted RDR2, the only real challenging thing from the gambler challenges is the 8th one with blackjack, it s not really that hard it s just time consuming and RnG based, like real blackjack. The 8th one is literally just button mashing while doing something in the background like watching a video. And if you want to skip the rounds faster, just walk up and sit back down.
But these challenges are not even that bad to be fair, I would much rather do those than collecting all those damn herbs again. The 10th one can literally just be cheated.

I was grievously under-levelled when I beat that mission in Witcher 3 (make no mistake, it took me a few tries. I basically had to take my time and isolate the sorceresses, give it one hit, then move, and if I got hit, I'd use Quen to restore my barrier as soon as I had the opportunity. I focused on 99% defensive until the sorceresses were gone. After that, the pike users were easy, but still tedious. My secret to beating that mission was pure patience.

You absolutely can beat that W3 mission on Deathmarch, though certain builds and gear will make your life much easier. Having the alternate Quen sign that explodes when depleted can not only heal you, but stun and damage the enemies allowing for openings, either physical or magical. Igni can lower their armor rating. Never had to bother trying Axii, but I am sure that and Yrden would also help especially with their movement speed being slowed.

I can't believe I'm about to do this. but I'm about to acktchually you. Donkey Kong Country is not in Donkey Kong 64. It's Donkey Kong. Just Donkey Kong, the original game. The first Mario game. The OG. The one that started it all, that put Nintendo on the map. Come on.
I don't know why that bothered me that much, except, just. come on, you're gamers. That's like a cardinal sin, or something. it's friggin' Donkey Kong!

It could be worse the quests could either be worth crap for rewards or Are required in a JRPG ONLY to have the set quest on a timer one where the required quest is on a 60 seconds timer but could take me LONGER THEN THAT hence that's why I can't EVER play Breath of Fire 3 and 4 it has SUCH required MINI games that just so happen to BE ON a timer but the quests are painful AF as well and are NEARLY impossible.

I completely understand the hollow knight delicate flower one. I hated that, and the worst part is that I would die at the same part EVERY TIME. If you complete the quest and want to unlock the secret ending, we ll guess what? You know where you brought the flower? Yeah. That s where it spawns now. You cannot go back, because the other flower location stops working. It was a lot of pain, to say the least.
