I feel the Redfall thing about performance shines light into another topic, people are always blaming hardware for things, specially older gen consoles, like I get you feel publishers should care about newer consoles since you paid top dollar for them, but making games more accessible to people who aren't either able nor want to make the jump yet is way less of a nuisance for players with the new gen than everyone claims they are, like how far can you take the The PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch are too outdated and are holding development back narrative since all these new games exclusively made for current gen hardware are just doing the bare minimum anyways? Having more accessibility for games will always be the best, and if two gens are as wide and current as they are now, I feel it harms no one to release it on both, but that's my opinion. My point is, people are quick to blame anything else (consoles in general, older hardware, mid-tier PCs, a particular group of players, etc, when there's huge companies taking A LOT of money with these new games, and they should be the first to answer when things don't go as they promised nor showed.

Hot take: The zelda trailer didn't sell me on the game yet. Alot of it just looked like 1-off set pieces (like what the divine beasts were) rather than the core game. I wanna see how drastically different the in-between sections are, because that's what defined the previous game. LIke, alot of the stuff they showed was like how the divine beast were, sure they are cool, but they are not what you spend 90% of your time doing. It's like, the peak 1% of the content. I just need to know that the remaining 99% doesn't fall flat of just feeling like an asset reusage + expansion.
I want this to feel like a new game, not just an expansion to the previous. I don't want additive content, I want transformative content. When I play this game _(that cost more than the previous)_ I really hope it doesn't end up feeling like I'm just playing more BotW. Instead, I hope it feels like it's actually an entirely new game that feels like a successor rather than an expansion.

I don't think RedFall's framerate lock is due to it being rushed out, but rather that XBOX series S compatibility mandate. It's easier for developers to bring out the most (if not all) of a platform's potential when they have only ONE platform to work with. There's a reason why certain console exclusives look as amazing as they do. Final Fantasy XVI is an example of a true next/current gen game.

I mean. wasn t it originally supposed to drop end of 22? Then May of 23. then end of 23. now beginning of 24. That will literally be over a year of just delay not even including the original development time. So, if you re trying to tell me that a whole year of delay is just to polish the game?
That s either one rough, janky game. or they re doing a bit more than polish.

You didn't mention Alice Asylum has been cancelled. I feel like that is pretty big news. Especially after EA asked American McGee if he would do another Alice game. Once American and his team sorted everything out. EA said they weren't going to fund it or give American the Alice license, so he could get funding elsewhere. Its terrible news for Alice fans.

Valve should sell the rights to half life and portal. HL 2 and portal 2 are hands down the best gsmes i played ever! Specialy portal 2. Gameplay was simple but so ffing saddisfiying. The story was very very good to, the twist was a suprise. Please god let them make a hslf life 3 and portal 3. Or at least remake the old ones.

I am also a 90's Mario fan! I dont know if I would still like it I watched it today.
I am very much hoping that Spider-Man 2 gets a PC release at launch. I desperately want to play it but I'm not going to get a PS5 just for that game. I only just played the first game and the MM game a couple months ago.

I swear I thought those were light sabers in the new final fantasy, and that indie max Payne game you were talking about looks like it will have you walking a lot of blood halways, and come on does that thing from the first shot of redfall not look like a monster version of kratos on steriods

Speaking of the suicide squad game, I would love to see games that are made with micro transactions, be forced to put a disclaimer saying so on the front cover. There have been a couple of games I have played recently that had them but I would've never of guessed they had it.

I remember back in 2014 some guy told me he really likes Dubstep music that sounded like Destroid 8 Annihilate.
I know he probably meant he wants his Dubstep shittier like most Riddim nowadays, but I'd like to believe he meant he wanted it to sound like Crankdat does in 2023.

XVI looks like its probably going to be the first Final Fantasy that I DON'T play. The story looks great, but the gameplay looks too hard or something? I feel like I'd just be button mashing and have no idea how to play properly. I'm pretty disappointed that I'll miss it.

Unless they remove that online requirement for even solo play, WB can keep the Suicide Squad game. I'm never paying full price for a game that I can't reliably play whenever I want due to either internet issues on my side or server issues on the game's side.

A few weeks ago, I got a new PC & am finally able to play Witcher 3, Ark, Horizon Zero Dawn, & (HEAVILY MODDED) Skyrim at their full capacity. I have since put everything down to finish & complete LoZ Breath of the Wild on my Switch after the new trailer.

The Tears of the Kingdom trailer literally had me in tears, it was incredible!
And really hoping that Jet Set Radio rumor turns out to be true, one of my earliest memories is playing that game on the original xbox with my cousin over the weekends
