10 HIDDEN Things Developers KNEW We Would Try BlueKnight: Uncharted 3. During the Sink or Swim mission, when you come into the room with a chandalier, and a big wall of glass that looks like it'll break at any second given the amount of water on the other side. Obviously the devs at Naughty Dog knew somebody was bound to test just how interactive the environments were in these games.
And sure enough, just one shot to the glass & it's instant game over. It was really hilarious the 1st time doing it, 'cause I simply wasn't expecting it. But it's even funnier when Drake just falls when the water's not even remotely near him.
Some good stuff there, and I'd wish more games have more of that kind of thing!

In Red Dead Redemption 2 they made the shopkeepers respawn because they did not do it in the first game. There is also a bug in the first game that can cause one of the shopkeepers to be killed even if you are on the other side of the game's worldmap. This bug also occurs often. IE its a common bug. It of course never got fixed but its something a lot of people complained about. Because he sells a item you HAVE to get for one of the achievements. Because of the items cost and location. You can not get it as soon as you start the game. and because of the wonderful nature of this bug. Odds are before you get the chance to buy it. The NPC will die and you would have to restart and hope the game will be nice to you the next time around.

Two examples from the Kingdom Hearts series (Although admittedly KH is good at developers foresight) First in KH2, after you reuinte with Kairi, yiu can look up her skirt. In the original game, they actually modeled a 15 year old girl's underwear. In the remake this was understandably removed. The secons example is in KH3D, during the Xemnas bossbattle they have a flowmotion rail near Xamnas, however if you use it to unleash the flowmotion attack instead of using it to get close to him for attacking he will snap out of being stunned.

So I'm pretty late to the party when it comes to owning a Switch, I've only had one for a little over a year. Breath of the Wild being the first game I played on it. I did that exact thing with that ball maze puzzle! I didn't watch a video on it or anything, I just thought I was finally being clever because it was such a pain in the ass and I was looking for something to make it easier to finally get through it. only to find out now other people tried that as well (enough that Gameranx is putting it in a video? That's good stuff.

Imo the best one is in Dragons Dogma. Right at the start of the game you get a dagger to unstick yourself (suicide dagger) and that's it's only purpose. well it has a second purpose.
At the critical junction in the game you're given 2 choices but if you get where I'm going you basically have a 3rd choice. This is never at any point presented to you nor even hinted at. But it gives you one of the coolest and strangest endings in a game!

The time travellers in Bioshock Infinite are great, they have so many little details that are just so cool. When they ask you to call the coin they flip, they mark their board with Heads. It looks like every time they flip the coin, it comes up heads. But if you look at the coin, it is tails.
They aren't keeping track of the coin result, they're tracking your character, who had called the coin to be heads.

In A Hat in Time when you get to the mission with the murder on the train, the level's gimmick is the weird crows with fedora and trenchcoat walking around everywhere and asking you questions. One will eventually ask you what your favourite part of the body is. You actually get an achievement for typing what all of us men are thinking right now.
(30% of the players have this achievement )

With the Breath of the Wild ball rolling shrine, I always just angled the whole thing so that the ball would roll off the ledge next to where it drops in, and then go run over to it in person, freeze it in place and then smack it with a hammer and basically turn it into a golf minigame. Way easier to do than even trying to flip the whole thing over.

One more. In Hades when you meet Charron to buy stuff sometimes there is a large bag of cash off in the background, if you take it like the devs knew you would, you'll piss Charron off and he'll drag you to an arena where you have to fight him, and he is one of the toughest enemies in the game that already has some pretty brutal enemies.

The problem with being able to end the village scene quicker in the RE4 remake is it is only useful in the game plus mode. Having a pistol only the first time through the game will not work with the bell (at least it did not for me) so the cheat is useless until you beat the game.

The old Infocom games, like Zork, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and others, and the early Sierra games where you had to type the character's actions were known for their humorous responses to people typing foul language (usually out of frustration.

Im DeathLoop being an immersive sim if you try to use the code 0451 every other game has usually as the first code, the game will give you an Achievement. If used on the first door in the game Colt will say Ehh, Old Habbits Die Hard.

In Fable, in Knothole Glade you have to hit 4 obelisks in order to open a door for a quest. The letters are I, H, T, and S. And if you type in a certain vulgar term, itll spawn balverines(basically angry werewolves) to attack you

In that breath of the wild ball puzzle, you can actually turn the entire puzzle upside down, where the whole platform is completly flat. Just aim it so the ball rolls onto the ramp, then raise it to fling it in the goal.

Actually in the original version of RE4, the boulder you use the dynamite on in there can be blown up with a rocket launcher. I'm thinking the developers were smart enough to remember this and put it in the remake as a result.
