10 Times Gamers Noticed a MISTAKE IN THE TRAILER NotSoSolidSnake: another 2 to add to a 2nd part of this if you make one,
1, All the stuff in MGS V TPP trailer that was missing from the game, cutscenes, Content, Stuff in game play trailers
and 2. this one i dont think many people noticed but it sticks out to me like a sore thumb
In the trailer for Days gone, the hazmat guys use a Honeybadger. While the honey badger is a real gun, the one in the trailer is based on an airsoft gun called the Ares Amoeba AM014 and AM013. you can tell from a few things, 1 the Hand guard, its designed No like any on a real fire arm, its designed FROM the airsoft company.
2. The Front sight, on the airsoft version of it, the front sight is place out of the box, In a really strange spot, the model in the game, kept it there,
3. The magazine, its the EXACT one that the airsoft company Ares designed them self for their guns.
so the hazmat guys are using airsoft guns, not real guns!

I remember playing fallout 76 in the beginning. This was back when griefing was still a major problem. But I had one moment that was exactly what I thought an open world mmog should be.
I was following a quest marker into the ash heap, coming down a tall Cliff, I heard gunfire. I was hidden so I knew they weren't shooting at me. Scanning the area below me, I found a lower-level player (I was still fairly low-level as well) getting attacked and absolutely punished by a couple of mole-men. From my Obi-Wan position, I opened fire with my 308. I managed to take out the main one hassling him, and I crippled the other one so the other player could finish him off. I got the warm and fuzzies, because random chance put me in the right place and the right time to help this random Vault dweller out.
The thing is, I don't really think that this other person knew I was there. I saw them immediately start to loot the bodies. But by the time I made it down to join them, they were gone.
I wasn't upset by this, it was a truly random event at a time there weren't a whole lot of people to come across in Appalachia. And I think situations like that was kind of what the developers were going for when they made it so baron. Fallout 76 wasn't what I thought it was going to be. But little moments we're either I could be someone else's hero or they could be mine kept me interested while they were working on bringing the game up to speed.

I disagree when it comes to No Man's Sky. First off, you may call the prerelease gameplay footage bullshot, but it was pretty common commentary online to react by asking but what do you even do? . So if you watched that footage and were still surprised that there wasn't much to do in the game when you played it, I don't know what to tell you. Secondly, he said theoretically you should be able to see each other if you go to the same location in the game. He also said they didn't test for it, because it just isn't practical for a small team to test. He also also said to not try it because what it would take to pull that off is ridiculous, and even if you did, playing it together wouldn't work very well and wouldn't be fun because they didn't design any multi-player features. So if you tried it anyway and were surprised that it isn't actually multi-player, I don't know what to tell you. Thirdly, he specifically warned players to not rush to the center of the universe as quickly as possible, because you would miss most of the game experience and ruin the game for yourself. So if you did it anyway and complained that it was disappointing, I don't know what to tell you. Now before you try to tell me I'm wrong, I watched the same footage you did. I read the same reviews you did. The game was exactly what I was expecting on launch. So why were my expectations spot on and yours wildly wrong? We saw and heard the same things.

Prey 2. According to an article I read that interviewed people who were involved, the publisher did a surprise inspection of the developer some time after the gameplay trailer that hyped everyone up. They found that not only was the gameplay trailer completely fake, and just bullshot, but the game build in its current state at the time wasn't even close to pulling off what the trailer promised. It was very clear that the devs weren't capable of pulling it off at all. So the publisher got so pissed about the deception, because on previous scheduled, announced, visits the devs fooled the publisher with the fake gameplay footage, that they not only canceled that version of the game, but closed the developer.

Seam Murray sold lies to get people to buy NMS. Go look at his interview with Stephen Colbert. Colbert asks Murray is co op/multiplayer would be in the game from the start. Murray said yes, but tried to cover his tracks by sayjng the game is so big you wouldnt ever come across another player. It even said it was multiplayer on the game case. But what do you know. It wasnt there. Half of what was promised wasnt there. Years later, after so many people bought the game and they could update the game, people can still only say thats its a lot better than what it was. Stuff like this will allow devs to push unfinished games with the promise to fix it later. No one to blame but ourselves

Many of these trailers do not have mistakes tt gamers noticed.
Some are just cinematics with the sole purpose of getting people into the hype train like the Batman Arkham City (same happened with Arkham Origins showing us a fight against Deathstroke in the docks tt never happened in the game.
Others are just plain deceiving trailers such as Anthem and No Mans Sky. Never forget Killzone 2.
And then we have trailers where devs clearly has no intention at all to show their game as its going to be launched. Downgrades are definitely in thair plans and they dont give a single f (Wacthdogs, The Division, Rainbow Six Siege)

#9 Nope! Blatant, disgusting lie! Not just. a little dishonest.
Even if that graphics scandal had never been discovered, this wasn't some cheaply made Indie title. The devs. who worked on this game are experienced Pros. You deal with Pros, you're dealing with individuals who KNOW what they're going to be able to produce a few months down the road after the trailer is released. They knew they had no chance in hell of remotely being able to pull off the graphics shown in the trailer. Knew they couldn't even replicate 90% of what was shown in terms of graphics. They knew! You cannot call that simply, a little dishonest.

My favorite trailer mistake is when ea/ dice completely false advertised the Star Wars Battlefront 2 story campaign claiming that you're going to be playing in the point of view of the Empire throughout it. Bought the game and played the campaign and you switch to the good side not even a misson or two into the story. Not to mention that as of now the game is completely abandoned and not even finished. They really release the game tried fixing it over the past year-and-a-half or two just to leave it a unfinished product

To this day I d say the no man s sky controversy is largely the fans fault. If you actually watched every trailer and all the interviews with the lead developer. You d wouldn t have been so surprised by the game.
In fact, 90% of the complaints regarding content fans wanted. Sean explicitly stated on multiple occasions he didn t want to add into the game at least not at launch. Since it was supposed to be a lonely space adventure.

I love y'all, but I'm calling BS on the assessment of Cyberpunk as a mostly linear game that doesn't resemble GTA at all. That just feels totally contradictory to what it is. It's open world, has tons and tons of side missions and quests, shops, exploration, vehicles to steal and drive around, etc. I was a day 1 player, and I know it's got plenty of flaws, but this seems like a reach to say it's nothing like GTA gameplay.

11: 39 in my opinion if a cinematic game trailer or a regular Gameplay trailer shows a bunch of features and everything that gets me excited and snot in the final game then that's. Retiring I bought the game expecting all those things that you showed in your trailers and if it's not there that's false advertisement! I honestly think they should be more strict on gameplay trailers and such

cough. can we talk about Final Fantasy Versus XIII? Like the most disappointing trailer versus final product EVER as far is I'm concerned. Like just watch the amazing trailer from 2006 or 2007. It was clearly set to be rated M and I must have watched it 100 times, but the game took so long to come out its name was changed and it released in 2015 and was almost nothing like what they teased.

Anthem is so disappointing. The game is GENUINELY fun! There really isn't anything else like it, being able to seamlessly go from air to ground combat to ground combat and back into the air. There was just nothing to do! The world was beautiful, but empty. A lack of true dynamic weather and dynamic events. Multiplayer being. eh. And a boring story that ended really quickly.

I'm surprised that Falcon hasn't figured out yet that most game trailers despite what they may even say are never on the console that they say they're going to be on nor is the footage the footage always comes from a PC and it's been edited to look a lot nicer for the commercial there are many times you even see scenes in the commercial that will never be in the actual game

5: 15 They are in the game, they are the Masked Manikin that you can find at Earthen Peak, you can even farm their set but they have nothing to do with what they were in that trailer, there's also use a mod that changes the mask to look as the original in the trailer. A lot of people talk sh1t about Dark Souls 2 but I still prefer it over 90% of the games out there.
