Dead island 2 - before you buy

Dead Island 2 - Before You Buy Elizabeth: I enjoyed Dead Island. But feel it lacked primarily in one area. Co-op. I mean, yeah, playing online is fine, but with no offline option, such as split screen, It was much less fun than it could have been. Especially for someone who cannot afford home internet(im on my cellphone. Its my only way of access)
I seriously doubt the sequel fixes this laxk of offline Co-op options, so despite how good it looks, i probably won't be purchasing it. I miss offline Co-op games.

It kinda looks dated, or maybe it's just the upload. I dunno it looks messy or like something is off with it. I wouldn't mind giving it a try but I'm more about guns. Too many zombie games that make melee a focus which honestly gets old. So after hearing that gun play is meh I'll prob hold off on it. Also not sure why so many people are hating on open world games. I much prefer open world to linear games. Thanks for the honest review though!

The way the world is structured is kinda how FF16 is structured. Not open world, but smaller zones filled with detail. I actually skipped Elden Ring because it's full open world. I am that tired of open world games. I played it for a while, went around, got bored looking for shit and moved on. I really hope games go back to like medium sized zones with more detail and fun shit, rather than big empty world, like Ubisoft games.

So did Dying Light 2 copy dead island or Dead island copied Dying Light? This looks more fun map-wise compared to dying light 2 because this is in LA but dying light had that fun parkour that set it apart from others zombie games. This one actually has guns unlike dying light 2 that would be nice instead of always having to melee a zombie. These two games look the same especially seeing that dropkick 1000 times

In order of playing I started with Dying Light 2 at launch and liked it, then went back and played Dying Light 1 and its expansion and also liked it.
Recently picked up Dead Island 1 and havn't finished it yet, its not bad, you can tell it looks and feels pretty similar to Dying Light 1 because time wise of releasing they're close.
I think Dying Light is better with its story and parkour/combat system.

I played both games, my favorite zombie game besides left for dead at the time. I ve waited so long and to finally hear it s coming out is super exciting. But definitely seems different from the other two games as far as scenery and overall model designs. Seems like similar zombies from the previous games but who knows. I m excited regardless and I m gonna probably buy it: )

So i wonder what kind of technology the studios, whom make the games, have access to years before the games come out. I get you can upgrade textures and whatnot but do the studios and developers secretly get the newest system 4 or 5 years before the public or at least the specs to use on a computer. Just a thought and roast ne if you want. We are all anonymous

Don't really care about the story. The zombies slaying is the star for me and exploration for me so I'm definitely not gonna cool my house for a month to buy this game! Question is should I get the PC or PS5 version. Maybe I'll wait for the reviews to see how it runs n PC, if it runs better on co sole like a lot of games lately and sadly but I will cop it.

im honestly so glad that after all this time it atleast managed to be good and from what i heard the optimization is pretty decent too which is unheard of in this day and age with games being delayed due to creative differences between dev and publisher and whatnot i know this for me personally is gonna be a 10 but realistically speaking i think an 8 is fair

I love zombie games (L4D, WWZ, but i really disliked the controls of the first Dead Island game. This one looks to be about the same, but with sharper graphics. Sorry to say that this just doesn't appeal to me. I'd try it if it were free one day, though. Love killing zombies, stormtroopers and ummm. the bad guys from world war 2.

Jake Shilldino. shilling. Just kidding, great review man. I felt like this was a fair review. It looks like a fun game but it doesn't look like it's worth 70. This game reminds me a lot of the walking dead survival instinct. I actually really enjoyed that game, it was simple, easy to jump into, yet enjoyable.

I think when you have a game that looks this graphically good, you inherently limit how good the physics can be an how many on-screen enemies you can have at once. I see those limitations fully on display in this gameplay and it kind of bums me out. but I also felt the same way about the first Dead Island.

That screamer looks cool and seems executed well. I like when zombies perform supernatural feats by way of utilizing the lack of the, dead switch, as it were. Track athlete no longer fatigues, body builder willing to blow every ligament. powerful voice willing to destroy vocal chords is welcome to the list.

I really wouldn't class Dead Island 1 as open world either tbh. I think it was more open level? where it was environments fairly open to explore but still on a set path leading to somewhere. Sorta like the Borderlands games rather than a Skyrim where you can walk any direction you want.

Been playing through dying light 1 in series X but this looks more fun to me, just a game ass game that isn't too serious, I'm surprised how much people have enjoyed it so far and I may pick it up on sale later in the year.
Side note, I always disable motion blur
