10 Recent Video Game Graphics [THEN vs NOW] MisterMann: I've never been a person who cares about the graphics of a game and more of a fan of consistency with the art style in a game. I only noticed about that sort of stuff when it was used as a dick measuring contest with the consoles in how good looking our game is, meanwhile it's lacking substance sometimes with the actual important parts being gameplay and story. I only really care about graphics when it's making it unintentionally hard to see or tell what I'm doing because there isn't a thing visually noticeable changing to what I'm doing despite being told to do it and when things just blend with each other where you can't tell what's solid in the game or a moving object from a distance.

Awesome video Mr Falcon. There's obviously some great games these days, but one thing that these amazing graphics can't compare to is, games back in the day up to a certain point in the the mid to late 2000s took more risks! There was wild and varied games. It couldn't be more safe and soulless in the majority of games now. Sure, there's a few indy games here and there, the very odd mid budget original, but yeah for the most part it's not great.

How is a realistic game a good game? often they are incomplete and not even well done just good looking.
Old games feel more like a actual game instead of a switch of reality or whatever, imagne racing and driving of the course just for some unseen jedi force to stop you from continueing the race.
''realism'' is killing games with stuff like that.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor were not developed by EA. Respawn developed it and EA is the Publisher, big difference: P
Small nitpicking on your script i know but still, need to tell it as it is properly as to not misinform people.

Make no mistake, in 10 years we'll be looking back at today's examples of top-end games, and we will be saying. damn that still looks good. graphics evolution has come to a screeching halt (in comparison to past progress. Maybe in 20 years it will really kick off though.

Resident evil 4 developers did an amazing job not just remastering game with graphics but they changed places improved gameplay and most important thing knife is now useful by stabbing them back i am happy that they didn't did cheap work like rockstar games

Oh man my buddy and I would spend hours in Lego starters just running around the sandboxy character select hub and just causing a battle royal among the whole cast of characters. So fun. Hours of enjoyment without even having to start the game basically lol

For the next part add assassin's creed and farcry. Talking about game graphics they are some of the prominent names out there so it would cool to see them in the next part considering AC mirage is right around the corner. Great video btw

Running the older games in modern resolutions kinda ruins this comparison. Resolution is just as much a factor as geometry, texturing etc so choosing to bypass that factor doesn't make sense for a video comparing old graphics vs new.

I cant wait until we compare the graphics from infamous second son to whenever the new infamous game is gonna come out. The graphics were insane back in 2013 so I can only imagine how a new infamous would look

Regarding the OG, its just Playstation, the PS1 is actually the later released mini version, as seen on the consoles themselves. the OG says just Playstation where as the mini actually says PS 0ne. smh lol

Ill never forget getting Gran Turismo back then and getting an analogue controller with it, i remember HATING analogue controls and thinking it was a silly gimmick, oh how wrong i was

Hope to see a future video where the visual effects aren't that far from their predecessor. Like of course Elden Ring is going to look vastly different from a game made in the mid-90s.

Wow a Coleco Vision reference! Burger Time! But seriously FromSoftware should collaborate with Bluepoint with all new Souls games. And hopefully they are now. Great list as always!
