CYBERPUNK 2 ENGINE OVERHAUL, SUICIDE SQUAD MAKES CHANGES? & MORE
video description
Spider-Man 2 using Insomniacs in house engine looks significantly better and runs at twice the FPS than the Matrix UE5 demo. And Spider-Man is an actual game.
Immortals of Aveum and Remnant 2 are ok but I really hope we see a lot more improvement from UE5 than what we currently have. I don t know if we will though Insomniacs current version of their engine is newer than Unreals current version and is just better at least in the results it produces.

Playing the very last of Spider-man 2, and a re play of CoD Black Ops 1 & 2.
As for Suicide Squad? Not really on my radar as yet. I lost faith in trailers a few years ago. Companies show things that don't appear in the final product, they show frame rates and graphics that aren't truly factual. Too much deception by the marketing departments these days. So I wait for most games to come out and listen to what others have to say.
The first thing I thought of with the Sony patenting savestates - If I can drop into a game anywhere, and play a thing here, and a thing there, it just makes me think that they must not be planning on having any real stories anymore. Just full on set pieces - like Kraven's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Nth
health bar battle.
And look how much we give you for such a small price? Yeah right. Look how much you give us to stay ahead of your competition. They should be thinking of other things - like the quality of their re-masters, and yes, it is nice to know that a game can be played for hundreds of hours, for the price, but it doesn't translate well. 70 for 10 hour game, doesn't imply I will, or should, pay 700 for a 100 hour game. Multiplayer stuff is cheap. The same scenarios, with different maps, repeated again and again. Make it once, why make it again? Quality sells, corner cutting, and empty sections coming later, for more and more, do not.

I have the PS Portal(pre-ordered back in august or september) and I can see how people will be 50/50 on it. Some will love it, some wont. I, personally, adore it. The screen is crisp. The graphics ran cyberpunk 2077 with phantom liberty very well and I didn't notice a hit to the visuals. The wifi I have is free government access, the lowest available. it ran my system without any framerate or connection problems. It's just an amazing gadget. If you wanna visit the family but dont want to lug your whole system over, this item is great. I can't praise it enough. The only problem I have is due to an old hand injury. My left thumb and palm area get tired or ache after a bit. The controller itself is fine. Hepatic feedback is great, fits well in the hands. I just love this thing. I cant wait for a cover to keep it safe from any abuse. Everything is so sharp on this bad boy and I am so stoked I have it. The lack of Bluetooth sucks, so you have to plug in a headset or get the playstation wireless buds. I don't mind plugging in my studio phones. I have a great pair and I like phones that cover the ear anyway. I can see this being a problem for people. They're picky about their earbuds, which is understandable. Other than that, I see no problem. Enjoy when you get it!

I am tired of being told of record growth and profits, to then be told increased cost omg price needs to go up. The market size for gaming has grown in the hundreds thousands of % in size since N64 days. Meaning you have more costumers then ever. They stopped prioritising physical copies, saving themself on distribution and printing costs, but never lowered their price just taking it as a free monetary gain. More pay2win, cosmetics, pre-order and day1 DLC bs then there has ever been before. And then they turn around saying our underpaid employees who can barely feed themself making games for you need more money so you should pay more! and then give themselfes 100s of millions in bonuses for CEOs. Its a lie that prices need to increase, anyone saying this is lying in their own self interest and cherry picking stats or mindlessly repeating what others have said with no critical thinking. Pay your devs better, make better games, and optimize your cluttered overproduced messy production pipeline rather then putting it on the costumers to carry your failures and laziness.

Them moving to UE5 has me genuinely worried. Not only do they have to create just a ton of tools for what they do that UE5 just doesn't do by default theres just no telling what kind of problems they could encounter while creating said tools. Then we take in to account that UE5 games have been horrendously optimized (excluding Fortnites upgrade) and just have not been impressive visually compared to what we have been getting for several years already except now it needs twice the hardware to push similar visuals or in some cases stuff actually looks worse then last gen due to the horrible optimization resulting in lower resolutions and framerates.

no, I do not like the idea of any corporation patenting features. and Sony did not invent save states, they have no right to patent them. If you wish to differentiate save games from save states somehow. thats pretty hard to do. do visual novels have save states or save games? and emulators have long since had save states that store the game state directly from RAM into storage, so that the RAM state can be reloaded at any time. even if sony developed some technology that allowed rewinding of your exact progress, that has already been done. anyone remember prince of persia.

NPCs already use AI. It's just rudimentary. Anyone arguing against using AI for NPCs, doesn't understand what what means. I'm against AI taking jobs like art, voice acting, and writing and such, but NPCs are the only time when having better AI makes sense. I think it's important to still hire voice actors, and do writing for most conversation, but having unimportant side conversations and NPC movement/choices being done by newer AI is only an improvement and won't take any jobs away, while also making the experience better overall.

I think games aren't too low of a cost only because the games that were expensive to make stay full price for longer so they dont have to be expensive at launch. Red Dead 2 is still full price on steam 4 years later. While games that were less expensive to make drop in prices a lot sooner. Thats why i think all games release at the same full price, because the worthy one dont drop from that price as soon as the others do.
Trying to convince me they dont know exactly what theyre doing thinking im an idiot is insulting.

Games DO give you a lot for their price. I am not saying that everyone should suddenly raise their prices but let's not be delusional here. I know GAMERANX hate people in big corporations make a livelihood for some reason, but it is a well-known fact that as big as the gaming industry is, it still doesn't produce anywhere near as much profit as others to the point that for many people, this is still a hobby than a viable career opportunity. And if this keeps going the way it is, gaming industry WILL die.

Good golly that game replay feature is so sick. I m pretty twitchy with the capture button on the PS5 since it s so fast and I love capturing stuff but it does take me out of the game for a sec to be able to replay story moments and grab screenshots or videos for the archives or content afterward without the need for a whole second playthrough is gonna be amazing.

60 dollars have made gaming a luxury compared to the past when it was the medium that connected every kid from different economic spectrum. We were in a private school but every kid came from a different economic background, still we had video games that connected us. But more we grew up people started to pirate games instead of buying them because of the price.

Jake dont try to defend this trash game, loser squad with no powers and guns, even the story make no sense; how about a bunch of losers with no powers can stop the Jleague and Brainiac with guns when the JLeague (Superman, Batman, Wonderwoman, Flash, Green Lantern, etc) was not abble to.
There is nothing to redeem this abominatuon of Game as a Service.

When a CEO says things like that (Strauss Zelnick) they are not on the side of consumers. In fact they will shake you down for every penny in your pocket until nothing is left. Sadly that is where the gaming industry is at right now with paywalls to lock content that is already in the game. Things as simple as skins, items and leveling buffs in MMO's ect.

I think the whole every new game is automatically 70 shouldn't be a standard thing. Rockstar putting out games like RDR2 and GTA V should have definitely cost more at launch. That being said many other games like Starfield should probably be around 35 for what you get. Every annual sports game should just be a 10 update

If Rocksteady is going to keep making DC games, I'd like to see them tackle a Batman Beyond trilogy since the Arkham games were so amazing. I don't know what I think about Suicide Squad yet. I'm going to wait for more info before I get excited about it. If it's a live-service game, I doubt I'll even touch it.

Games might be 70 US, but for us here in Australia your 70USD= 140- 170AUD depending on if you buy base or Ultra/Extra Editions, I laughed when I seen Diablo 4 base game being 110AUD, I was like NO GAME EVER should be 110 for the base game, just scabby blizzard being greedy as usual; Happy 51st to me 18/11

With regards to Suicide Squad. I didn't even make it onto the fence for this one due to WB's game plan from their investor meetings. they want to go full steam ahead with live service crap regardless of how the gaming community is trending away from it (fed up with all the crap)
But i WANT more COOP stuff! :(

Same old same old paint-by-the-numbers live service catshit with the new Suicide Squad game. Rocksteady acting like the Anthem/Gotham Knights/Marvel's Avengers garbage never happened and that they'll trick everyone _this_ time.

Having seen the recent video on Suicide Squad, my opinion on it went from F this game to Might get it during a sale. The city looks great, and the combat and traversal look better and more engaging than the previous video made it look. Still just feels like Destiny with a DC skin on it though
