Bungie just need to reboot Destiny completely. I remember back when I was playing the Alpha, the Beta and then the early days of Destiny 1. It was amazing and full of mystery.
I think the main appeal was the promise of unique weapons and these mysterious 3 enemies, each with their own backstory.
The issue was that weapons and armour became repetitive, there was no real backstory. Remember I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain
It needs another go, without all of the junk being thrown in on top of each other and making space by getting rid of older stories.
It needs a clear direction with the story, and for weapons and armour to feel truly unique and customisable.
Also, fully utilising the dualsense controller with the trigger sense responding differently depending on the weapon.

The Marathon stuff I can understand when you compare what Marathon is compared to other Bungie games; Halo (While they made the franchise) - Amazing campaign, Great Multiplayer, custom game modes within multiplayer (alot of replayability.
Destiny (has its faults) - Good campaigns, good PVE content for Dungeons, Raids, Missions etc, also has an okay PvP with a couple game modes
Marathon - Of what we've seen so far, just has a couple maps that gives you an extraction based gam style, in and out based sessions of likely less than 30 minutes a pop.
There's not a ton of depth to the game just in general and that's what will help to keep players engaged

JAKE DUDE I would advise avoid playing with your dog before recording a video because your T-Shirt desperately needed a lint roller unless you are actually going bald at such a young age. My OCD was kicking in wanting to clean it off myself. It’s like when you’re talking to someone and you notice a piece of food stuck on their teeth and they don’t know.
Maybe Falcon has one oh wait, he has feathers so maybe try asking someone else.
Anyway, Nemesis system for more games after all these years since LotR Mordor games is always a plus.

marathon is headed to be the next concord. proving that the art direction wasn't the only problem. Marathon looks great, but it's still just yet another generic live service game that nobody asked for.
Unless they go back in and fundamentally change the whole thing (which they won't) this is gonna flop really hard. It's a shame cos I would have played a solo game with that aesthetic for instance. or a tv show or something

Been playing Rematch this weekend. It's really fun but it's release state is very unfinished and the performance is very bad for a lot of people, almost unplayable. Also it doesn't have crossplay as it was supposed to; the devs said it's a priority for them but they have a lot of work to do so I wouldn't expect it to be a thing in the near future.

Seems you didn't cover this and you might not know but it turned out that Marathon stole someones art without permission, there were some tweets about it by the artist themselves showing what he made and what Marathon did. So them delaying the game isn't much of a surprise xD

First thought: Sony already has a stranglehold on Marvel, them controlling DC in games would not be great. I don't think one console should control both comic companies in gaming, but I would not like to see them lose Marvel projects as a result. DC should stay open.

Sony buying it ain't a win, look how they are doing recently and you want them to further destroy IPs/company! Hell nah either let China get it or WB should do better they can either do a reboot Batman or a JL reboot this time better and ppl will still buy it

I wonder if Sony buying WB Games would include the rights to making DC games. Crazy to think that the same company could be making both marvel and DC games, maybe they can reuse the assets for NYC in Spider-Man for a Superman and Metropolis

It doesn't surprise me as Sony wants to do more live series like they've done with HBO and the last of us. Plus, the Batman IP is huge. I'm against consolidation, but them wanting to aquire Warner and their DC universe IP isn't surprising

Marathon NEEDS some sort of story. This story thru the environment is such a lazy cop out. The story doesn’t have to be great but if you want players to purchase your game, you need some sort of story content.

That would be cool if Sony does buy Warner Bros. The Nemesis system will be saved and just maybe used in different games like God of War. Worse case scenario Nintendo buys them. We can kiss so many franchises goodbye

Will this next Xbox not have paid multiplayer subscriptions That’s a slam dunk for me. Sony did nothing this generation with PlayStation, I won’t be missing it, even with a 400 game library.

Sony buying WB is such a wild swing in the opposite direction of Microsoft. They let Bungie be multiplatform but with Bungie's recent troubles is SONY really willing to give their opposition any ground.

I doubt Marathon will be cancelled. The studio would go under if they invested this much and saw no ROI. It’s not like they have another game in the pipeline to keep them afloat in the meantime
