6: 55 - You are so right about the nominated short film artists. They are the pinnacle of whose to come within reason of continuity in furthering a craft. I have met someone who was nominated a while back on a SAG set last year & she is delightful. Of course, I was an extra, so I researched her and gave some energy to her during lunch.
While she's not a celebrity film inventor with notable ideologies worth marketing for millions to know of, she does have a unique means of practicing her art, which is a specific key component to success.
It's like a person studying math who only solves math that's been taught for continuing the assistance of others who don't know it (like an accountant) versus a person who studies the philosophy of math and its history up to the point where it becomes so advanced that something which hasn't been conceived comes to mind. Yet it happens organically due to years of training.
I've been training my logic, emotions, & body over 10 years. I'm just now getting the true imagination of a craftsman. It takes passion.
(I also learn things about performing all of the time) Here's one! : try noticing how your tongue uses the teeth to create words. When you notice it connect to a specific word, change the location of the tongue to another area of the teeth and notice the amazing change. I learned that yesterday while cold reading!
Also, constant reading is the difference between someone who is a vessel of knowledge & someone who can remember their lines.
All celebrities that stay sublime are generally very well self-educated & still educating. (Amazon's Kindle Unlimited is $9. 99/mo)

First off, great video!
I truly did enjoy the information you had, you're a very good speaker and offer some positive advice that will kickstart a lot of film enthusiasts.
Question: Are their qualifications or requirements needed to put your film into a film festival? Aside from the information you provided.
Do I need a background, a degree to be considered?

what about the genere? I saw several movies no short films they have lots of generes but in the end theres only one that is the main genere. We all can recognize a drama, a comedy, and so on. I think to really know what your genere movie is could easily help you. I mean is traditional but it works. What do tou think?

This video has really helped me for my Screenwriting 1 class. I was wondering was there such a thing as too short to be a film. I'm not good at writing dialogue scripts and I watch a lot of 3: 00 music videos. I work better with silent films or slap stick comedy.

I really think the only problem I got is Original Ideas. Editing Software, Equipment, Actors, etc. aren't too much of a hassle for me to find (Assuming I can get by with some less expensive stuff. Anyhow, thanks for the Video. Taught me a thing or two, at least.

Also Sam Raimi, Wes Anderson and the Coen Brothers made short films that got them noticed. Anderson basically made the first ten minutes of Bottle Rocket, entered it into a festival, and then got 9 million to make the feature version.

I want to start creating short films but my problem is I don't know shit about making them just watching them. People told me I should start using free engines online but it still quite overwhelming.

suppose if we get an idea and it is very impactful but I left some other measures then what should we do because without showing those scenes with dialogues the short film will become awkward.

It can be good to write a short film but keep in mind how it could be made into a feature film, If your story is good enough you could get interest for big studios to make a feature out of it.

Is there any restrictions while making short films.

Hi, If I may ask are we manipulating ourselves & putting ourselves at vulnerability by making short films? Does it worth it?
