i got the idea of a mystery, I was gonna make it a novel as it is a format I'm more comfortable writing in, until I realized that the story works better as a movie. I've never even attempted to write in a movie script format so it is gonna be a challenge. im only two minutes in to the video, but I can already tell that this is gonna help a lot. thanks!

I tried making a screenplay last night, and the articles I've read were talking about the need to indicate camera angles on the script (which gave me a really hard time. The screenplay on the video doesn't to be indicating camera angles. Are they still a necessity for the script or should handling camera angles be at the hands of the storyboard?

Celtx is practically unusable (now) compared to when this video was posted.
Trelby and Scenarist are both open-source and free. Not cloud based, but you could save your files in something like Dropbox, Drive, etc in order to get them elsewhere. I quite like Trelby but it takes some getting used to.

I have three really good ideas it's going to take me eternity you write them. I had writer's block for years and something happened to me I can write again. Even if it doesn't get published I just want to be proud of something that I wrote. It's better than not trying at all.

Would I then be able to take my work from FirstDraft and import it to MicrosoftWord?

Ty for this I have been working on one but before I was using Fade-In I was doing it in open office now I have switched to Fade-In makes it easy but I didn't know how to use Parentheticals in my screen play this helped a lot.

Do screen writers make any money? Say they write something and it gets picked up, and becomes a giant blockbuster. Are they making a few thousand, 100k? a Million? several Million?
