Actors Who Were In Both Star Trek And Star Wars NoobsShadow: Brent Spiner's comment wasn't given in context to the rest of the interview. If this was 2018 I'd be shouting fake news, fake news. Overall he praised the franchise. And I couldn't disagree more about Clive Revill. Ian McDiarmid was amazing in Return of the Jedi and the prequels. But I prefer the original look and voice of the Emperor in Empre Strikes Back 100x better. The re-edits are not nearly as good. First off the make-up looks weird, it still does even after 2011. And second the original dialog was perfect the way it was. I new that monolog between Vader and Palpatine by heart. They've never fixed it all the way since Lucas OCD butchered it.

I've never understood this whole Wars vs Trek thing. Star Trek is sci-fi; Star Wars is space fantasy. Trek is based on real science; Wars is not. Neither is objectively better than the other, because they're different genres, and should be judged to different standards. Therefore, I like both equally, and have no problem admitting that, because they're 2 different things. Saying they're both sci-fi is like saying Titanic and Jaws are the same because they were both set on boats.

The same ghostwriter that wrote Star Wars also wrote the Star Trek movies. Later on he wrote TNG, Voyager, Enterprise, DS9 and many other movies and TV shows.
His aunt used to live on Borg Drive in Sandy Utah.
The writer has since retired and doesn't give autographs to the few people that do know who he is.
In BTTF at Marty's house there is a statue that has the head of Groot.
You see, this writer was very prolific.

Ron Perlman in Movies: Alien Resurrection-1997, Star Trek Nemesis-2002, Hellboy-2004 & 2008, Spiderwick Chronicles-2008, Pacific Rim-2013, Percy Jackson sea of monsters-2013, Fantastic Beasts-2016. Not to forget animated work in 'Star Wars Clone Wars-2009', the DCU, voice work for video games, & TV work like Beauty and the Beast', & the Outer Limits-2009. The guy is a machine, he has touched so many franchises

You're taking what Brent Spiner said out of context. He wasn't necessarily saying Star Trek was a joke as a whole, rather he was saying that he found contradictions in the peaceful utopia claims that Trek's fans and creators espouse. One thing that a small segment of fans and many critics don't seem to get is how Brent Spiner has a razor sharp wit and pretty much invented snark. And for that, he's a legend.

Star Wars is not a science fiction. Its a fantasy universe just like the elder scrolls, lord of the rings and game of thrones but it is set in outer space. The Star Wars universe has magic and mythical stuff like the force and the dark side. Star Wars is a complete different universe/reality. Star Trek takes place in our reality and Star Trek is definitely sci fi

ok. so as one of the original star wars/start trek fans, I have to say that since I didnt know there was a cartoon star wars, voice acting on a cartoon does not count.
similar logic. when I work nights it is not tuesday untill I wake up. nevermind that you could say that it became tuesday before I clocked out, that doesnt count since I havent ended my day yet.

reply

OK. first we have voice overs and behind the scene rolls. That is NOT an appearance. doesn't count. Next there is JJTrek which is NOT Star Trek. doesn't count. Willy Wonka and other movies are NOT Star Trek. doesn't count. With the exception of a couple of extras, there are NO cross-overs. Star Trek stays pure. Star Wars stays Disney.

So your first example comes up and I'm done watching your video because you go to the extreme of an animated Star Wars children's cartoon talk about grasping at straws unless you have someone that was in two major motion pictures one Star Wars one Star Trek I don't want to hear about it

Homeboys in Outerspace. Who the F thought that up.
Why not have Mr Spock's Space Kitties inhabiting Jabba the Huts Anus, or Female SpaceInsects getting Human Males Pregnant, or, The Mattress that Transports One to Unknown Worlds( while Bros work in the Astros Trades Shop. Lol
