Upcoming Remakes That'll Get You Pumped
video description
The bottom line is that Hollywood is no longer interested in making a movie that we will like and enjoy. What they're interested in is money. That's what Hollywood's all about now is money.
Think about it. what is it that you see in theaters now? Either a remake/reboot, a superhero movie, or a sequel. It's pretty rare these days to see any other type of movie that actually looks good.
And how many of those types of movies (sequels, remakes, hero) that you've seen recently can you say were really great? Probably none at all.
Look at Star Wars. One of the greatest, most legendary franchises in film history. And Hollywood completely DESTROYED that franchise by making several horrible sequels and spin-offs within 2 years time. And i know that almost _all_ Star Wars fans absolutely hated those movies.
That was all Hollywood's doing. Whipping up a quick movie script with the name 'Star Wars' attatched to it, hiring a few low budget actors that we've never heard of, and BAM! They know that they will make millions off all the Star Wars buffs out there. And they did. Which made them do the same thing over again. Whip up a shitty script, hire lame actors, etc. Only now they cant make any more Star Wars movies ever again bcuz no one will want to see them.
And its not just Star Wars and Point Break. I could name off 50 remakes and sequels that were made simply to make money. Nothing more. And again, Hollywood doesn't care if we like these movies or not. Thats why i loved the 2007 Halloween remake. Because Rob Zombie put a lot of heart into it. He really cared a lot as to whether or not we liked it. And we did! Halloween buffs and horror movie buffs really liked it. Same goes for the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Everyone liked it bcuz Michael Bay put a lot into that film. Not to mention that both Rob Zombie _and_ Michael Bay both hired good actors and actresses. With TCM starring Jessica Biel, and Halloween with several cameos from old horror movies.

I have some ideas for a GOOD Charlie's Angels new adaptation:
-It should be directed by Ridley Scott, James Cameron, Sofia Coppola, Patty Jenkins or Martin Scorsese
-Make a complex plot and develop very well the 3 angels and their relationship between them. It would be the deepest adaptation of the series
-The Angels should be portrayed by 3 of this actressess: Kristen Stewart, Megan Fox, Zoe Saldana, Brie Larson, Hillary Swank, Natalie Portman, Michelle Rodriguez, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johanson, Mila Kunis, etc.
-Charlie should be voiced by Tom Hanks or Morgan Freeman
-The villain should be portrayed by Al Pacino, Michael Fassbender, Danny Huston, Denzel Washington, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Irons, Brad Pitt or Ralph Fiennes if it's a man, and by Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Robin Wright, Uma Thurman, Kim Basinger, or Julia Roberts if it's a woman.
-The score should be composed by Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Alan Silvestri or Thomas Newman.

So here's the thing with remakes. Although we hate the though of remaking something that was. at its time, phenomenal, Its just an old movie to todays generation. The effects that once blew us away, are technically speaking h! t now. Today's generation has no desire to watch claymation, when the can get fully digitized/computer animated gold. I hate that they don't want to see older movies and miss out on what we experienced as kids, but the fact of the matter is. they really are good stories that they will totally miss out on, unless they are in today's modern format.
personally, I would like to see the movie Soylent Green remade. Back then, you couldn't even show dead bodies, so they had to have all of them wrapped in white sheets and just making it understood that its dead people.

Yeah I disagree. Not every movie should be remade. Just because it was a hit back in the day doesn't make it a hit today. First off, times are different and people react to things differently. Secondly everything that work back then would not work today and thirdly, 9 times outta 10 they don't even know how to make a movie correctly or as good as they did back in the day. The main reason why they're making so many remakes now is because many so-called filmmakers don't even possess imagination any more. In the originals, they had imagination which is really why many of the movies used to be better. I'm sorry but I just disagree. And no. I'm not looking forward to seeing an Indian Rambo singing dance. Lol

As much as i despise movie reboots and remakes. two films that _I would love_ to see get redone by the right person are _'The Running Man'_ and _'The Warriors' (1979)_
I'm aware of all the talk and hype about 'The Warriors' almost getting rebooted about 10 years ago by Ridley Scott. I suppose his passing had a lot to do with it not happening. But i wish someone else would take it into consideration. If it fell into the right hands then i honestly believe that it coild be a really big smash hit.
What do you guys think? Warriors go? Or Warriors no?

The things about the Rambo is that its Bollywood and I never was able to look a a movies from Bollywood because after 10 minutes I had enough and really had to quite otherwise I would have fell into a coma sure the si-fi movies are exaggerated but India push this out of context that even a movie parody as nothing comparable with the Bollywood versions who not even supposed to be funny at first so imagine when they do

Stop with the movie classic remakes. The original songs, singers and great movies. some folks just want a quick buck after butchering up good shows, movies, songs. Come up with your own ideas. originals. That should be a challenge. oh wait. those folks suck. So sad, no imaginations among the writer's. Glad I saw the great shows when they came out. Got to see, hear great melodies.

If you watch some of these Bollywood movies, they try SO hard to be good (especially in the action genre) that they become so over-the-top and are just plain bad. You can even see in the name that they want so much to be like Hollywood that the name Bollywood emulates it! I like some Bollywood movies especially some of the older films but yeah.

For heaven's sake. , ENOUGH with all these remakes! Remaking all those movies is a chicken shit idea! If you don't have enough intellect & creativity to make a NEW movie, then just go home & cry to mommy! Are there no limits to their laziness? Just simply take all the millions of & throw it in the trash or burn it! DUH?
