The Truth About The Boat Gibbs Is Building On NCIS Samantha: It makes sense that Gibbs would have a 100 year old emergency exit in his basement. He would never even replace his old, small black and white TV or his old flip phone. He's either younger or older than Ducky, if not almost the same age, yet, Ducky have a smart(er) phone than Gibbs. Even tho, McGee convinced Gibbs to use a smart phone, which lasted less than the entire episode. It was also revealed that Gibbs had an alias where he knew a lot about tech stuff, but going back with that alias, he doesn't even know where the CAPS LOCK key is. PS. I wrote caps lock with only big letters as that's literarlly what the caps lock key does
Please correct me if I missed something or spelled something wrong

I love the show, but just realized what a misogynist Gibbs is! I thought Tony was bad, steeling female co-worker's birth control pills or prying into their menstrual cycles, but just watched Gibbs walk into an interview room while a female officer was starting an interview, lean into her face and tell her she was in his seat, in front of a suspect, humiliating her, which was his intention, so she had to move. He attempted to undermine his female director as soon as he could, then gives Abbey all these creepy kisses.

In TV The 4th wall is the wall you never see. It's where the camera is and points in one direction. (Toward the stairs in Gibb's basement) I think Gibb's basement has what is called an exposed lower level. Which means the other side (4th wall) of the basement has a big door to outside, because his house is built into the hillside and other wall is not buried in dirt, but fully exposed if you were to look at it from outside. So all Gibbs needs to do is open a big door, on the back wall, to get the boat out.

My uncle built a boat in his basement. I asked him how he planned on getting it out of his basement. He told me that once he was done building the boat he was going to die. I laughed as I though he was laughing. Sadly he finished the boat and died within 2 weeks. His wife died a week later to the day and time. She even died in the exact same spot in the hallway.

Have you ever noticed how sparse Gibbs house is? Im guessing (as he is a carpenter) that the whole house is on hydraulic or mechanical stilts that raises up exposing the basement to the elements. Then a forklift removes the boat.
Or there is a creek out the back of his property with a hidden garage/boathouse door complete with slipway?

I read a cute little story on twisting the Hellmouth which crossed NCIS with Discworld (Terry Pratchett) which explained that Gibbs had an in with the Nac Mac Feegles to move his boats. The Nac Mac Feegles were pictsies who can crawstep through dimensions( about 6 inches tall but strong for their size.

He doesn't build boats in 17 seasons. There's one to three seasons. After he finishes the Kelly. That he doesn't build a boat. He was still doing some wood working in the basement just not a boat. I can't remember how many seasons before he had another boat project
reply

The more recent seasons aren't as intense as earlier versions because the characters are too soft and unbelievably childish. As far as the boat is concerned it doesn't matter.
reply

You take the boat apart and move it then reassemble it near the place you want it to stay. Just like how college kids will put their professor's car in a building or on a roof.
reply

It's obvious the house is on a hill with a ground entrance on backside to be used as a basement/garage but Gibbs never uses it as a garage so no one knows that.
