People automatically assume that if you are good at your early stages you have to be good in the end too. I understand rory, I get that she had a alot of expectations from people but the downfall was what actually needed in her academics and behaviour as you cannot live same life forever. People go through stuff, she has difficult relationships with her dad, her past relationships and even her grandparents sometimes. People go through alot and they tend to change. Rory was sort of in mentally abusive relationships with alot of people so it changed by the time she went to college she actually felt like herself. She actually became editor ofcourse she wasn't the popular successful reporter but she explored the world just like she said when she was with her grandfather which was always important for her. I actually admire her whether she was with anyone. When she cheated she was a teenager and when she was cheating after that she was cheating with the person who proposed her. She never said that she wanted it all gone. I still remember her asking in the end is it all or nothing to logan in the end and he said yes but it was never the case from his point too. They were in love and we could clearly see that. But she wasn't ready to get married because that's how she was raised and I totally connect with her atleast in this pov.

I still lean towards team Logan, and I wish they would have ended up back together later in a legit way in the reboot, instead of the mutual cheating thing. Even with the ups and downs of their relationship, he seemed to treat her with the most respect in a lot of ways, never got too distant (Jess) or too possessive (Dean. He had his faults, but I always go back to the way they started off as friends. Especially how sweet and supportive he was when she and Dean broke up for the third/final time. Without hesitation he rallied the other guys around to go cheer Rory up. Back to the pool house, men, we have some serious bucking up to do.

TOTALLY Disagree, I think that Logan won them all hands down. I don't get the Jess Logan comparisons because there is no comparing someone that she's been in an intimate relationship with in every way, physically and emotionally for 3 years plus the 10 years up to the revival, to someone who she had an emotional relationship for 7 months, 4 of which Jess wasn't even there. There's so much footage of Rory and Logan and just a little of Rory and Jess. That's because there was not much to them. I don't recall Rory ever crying over Jess but she cried multiple times over Logan.

i disagree on the lorelai vs jess thing. lorelai treated jess like crap multiple times. no saying jess wasnt rude but he was also a kid while lorelai is an adult. always accused him of stuff. he didnt know the bracelet was from dean. he kept it cuz i reminded him of rory. when he got in the car accident she was so quick to blame jess and jess only even if it was an accident and didnt care he got hurt. She is also a hypocrite with jess compared to the other two Bfs who have all done worse things

I just feel things started going downhill after logan arrived in rory's life. Logan always had his father backing him even if he they weren't on great terms but rory blew her career when he told her to wait for the fellowship. Even when rory left yale logan didn't stop her. Logan was a spoilt selfish man and rory was always ready to throw herself, her plans and her life for him, it's toxic, fight me on it, i don't care.

i think jess just wasnt ready for a relationship in season 3. He didnt know who he was and came from a turbulent home. he was very angry. later on he clearly was better than Logan. literally cant believe people debate this. logan is a privileged, inconsiderate rich kid. jess grows as a person and ends up pushing rory in the right direction.

Im team Logan 100000% even after ten years the two are still in love with each other. It broke me when Rory rejected him and ik if she had just said leave ur girlfriend and come with me he wouldve done it in a heartbeat. He loves her so much she doesnt even deserve him. Also pls Gilmore girls make another season Im dying here!
reply

Ummmm Logan literally cheated on her with multiple girlsand didnt even tell her and wasnt planning on telling her either and then he claims he didnt know they were still together and even when double check. If a boy did that to me Id never speak to him again and he also embarrassed her in front of those girls.
reply

I was team Jess, but later in life after they broke up and had a few years to grow separately. He wasnt great for her when they were young, but he was the most important To her development as a person. Logan was a really fun character, but overall questionable as a boyfriend and a human.
reply

\ Dean was the best boyfriend, Jess was her soulmate, and Logan was the best partner. I do wish she and Logan ended up getting married because they complete each other and he is obviously the father of the baby but I like the idea of Rory raising the baby with Lorelai
reply

Logan and Rory are a better match. Both of em are shallow cheats by the end of the revival while Jess actually has his life together. Ik we probably won't get any more Gilmore Girls but I just hope Jess finds someone like Dean found Jenny.
reply

I think Jess is a great friend. You can be a great friend and not be the right partner romantically. Logan was romantic, and maybe sometimes he was over the top, but throughout their relationship he was better to Rory than Jess was.
reply

logan and jess are robbed by bad writers not doing a character justice since both of them are equally best characters but for some reason has to be butchered one way or another bucz of how closer Rory was going to be with someone.
reply

Actually in my book Logan takes attractiveness so I say he wins and also if we are just talking GG and not AYITL I say Logan for the last as well because of we newspaper stuff and he also liked to read and changed Rory in a way to
reply

Yet, Rory went to prep school, Yale and look how crappy she turned out. Jess didn't finish high school, didn't go to college and is a published author and successful. Jess proved that you don't to go down that traditional route.
reply

I don't care if the writer messed up Rory's character. Rory and Logan should've been endgame. I love them together! sure both of them have their faults and baggage but I mean. it's LOGAN AND RORY, not jess, Logan!
reply

I feel like Rory doesnt deserve Jess and he should find a good person for himself but I feel like Logan and her were on about the same level so I guess that fits more but Jess is a better person in the end.
reply

Logan seemed cool at the beginning, when he and his friends cheer Rory up after Dean breaks up with her (again, then went downhill. Jess had the opposite arc: From angry young man to a mature, kind person.
reply

if rory and jess met later itd be jess all the way, but the fact he left her without saying a word and continued to lie to her and stand her up throughout their whole relationship kinda ruins that
reply

Honestly, they're both toxic as partners. By the time Jess is in his 30s he seems great but by then Rory is a toxic mess of a human being (though she kinda always was a toxic partner.
reply

I think that Rory shouldve married Logan they would be happy together but I also think that Jess and Rory were truly each others first loves if I could Id vote for both I would
reply

It's not about who's the better boyfriend; it's about the fact Rory turned out to be a pretty bad girlfriend, especially in the revival. Rory really turned into a sucky person.
reply

Jess challenges Rory to do better and hes down to earth with now strong morals. Logan is still immature just like Rory. Jess is better, but Rory doesnt deserve him now
reply

i once read that
dean was the boyfriend lorelai wanted
jess was the boyfriend rory wanted
logan was the boyfriend emily wanted
and it makes so much sense

reply

Jess was so Romantic! He destroyed the rival snowman, red her books, bought the picnic basket, even though he was broke, and watched her 24 hours dancing.
reply

The fact that jess never gave up on rory fully makes him the winner. Logan couldnt even commit 20 years later. Jess always loved rory and rory alone
reply

Definitely Logan. He was always a gentleman to her even when they were fighting. Jess had a bad temper and even though later got better I prefer Logan 100%.
reply

idk. it's kind of unfair to compare a 17 year old who barely got a season, to a 21-22 year old man who got like 3 seasons and a revival.
reply

When a girl gives up its not because she doesn't love you, but because She's tired of being hurt and feels like you will never care.
reply

Jess is Rory's Luke and Logan was her Christopher. Thats just how I see it. Everything goes full circle in this show. Seemingly.
