It may be more than a decade since the release of Deathly Hallows, but the Wizarding World is still very much alive. For this list, we're focusing on things J. K. has said herself rather than events that took place in The Cursed Child. Shes revealed that James Sirius Potter and Teddy Lupin's Hogwarts Houses, there are eleven wizarding schools worldwide, what she really thinks about Snape, and that she (kind of) regrets Putting Ron and Hermione Together!

I definitely think Rowling could wrapped things up with Snape being Harry's really father, I think the tragedy would've been perfect. With her writing than Lily for a brief moment was thought to be the one to bring down Voldemort. Only then it's revealed the prophecy spoke of a boy born in July, she is frightened and doesn't think she has what it takes to raise her son with such a burden on his shoulders. She goes to Snape and tells him she is frightened he offers her the chance to run away with him and disappear, in that moment she kisses him because she feels guilty not only can she not love him as he loves her but she is in love with the man he hates for causing him such misery and in his view stealing Lily. As a result of this in one moment of blind passion they sleep together Lily reveals she's only slept with James Severus tells her he's never slept with anyone, she injuries that there must've been some girls interested in him and he tells her non of them were her. After one night Lily does not regret but knows she loves James she returns to him only to find she is pregnant and knows that it's Severus's baby because her and James had trouble before. Severus discovers the pregnancy and confront her and she tells him it can never be the way he wants it and she can't break James's heart like that, Severus says he can only then she lays the If you love me like you say on him. Severus agrees not to interefere no one but the two of them know the truth, in the deathly hallows the tragedy would've been amplified if Snape dies telling Harry to take his tears and dying saying You have your mothers eyes only moments later does Harry see the truth. He sees all that happened he sees Severus declare If I can't be his father Lily then the boy shall have all can give, everything that I create all of it will be his and I will watch over him from afar. He can hate me if he must if it means his safety then James Potter must be his father. Imagine the tragedy of Harry learning that though Lily was the love of Severus's life he was not the love of hers, that he gave up everything to protect both of them he let himself be hated. That it was him who piled the gold in gringots for Harry, that he was only short with him because he couldn't stand being around him due to Harry reminding him Lily and fear of telling 'Potter' the truth. When Harry see's the famous moment with Dumbledore and Snape uses his patronus and Dumbledore says Lily after this time only to add Harry then that means.
Always as in Always he has loved her even in death and Harry has Always been his son. I was thought this was how it would turn out due to the fact James Potter was described as having messy hair so was Harry but Severus had black hair JK really makes sure the reader knows Harry has very black hair. But it didn't turn out that way sad really I think it would've been perfect. But I don't agree with Harry and Hermione I love Harry and Ginny and the actress in the films was so beautiful, I just wish JK would have went to more effort to include her int he later books and adventurous a scene with them first sleeping together would have been really powerful ind deathly especially with them thinking they were going to die. As well as the fact Ginny should have been with them in later books particularly deathly hallows, Voldemort surely would've discovered Harry's feelings towards her and taken her and tortured her until Harry came looking for her. Especially given how much information he would've gotten from Draco when he served Voldemort, there is something to be said for how it ended it was fantastic but yes there were things I found like Voldemort not coming for Ginny or Ginny not being with them to find the horcrux's that I didn't like.

There was one time Hermiones skin tone was talked about in the books and I can remember people trying to use it as a way to argue either way. But I also found someone else saying why it didnt really make sense, in the quote from the book Harry picks up on Rons freckles and what people assumed Hermiones skin tone. But the person said that it would make sense for Harry to pick up on Hermiones skin tone in his 3rd or 4th year. (I cant remember) So it obviously meant Rob and Hermione had spent time in the sun recently. Rons appearing with more freckles and Hermione getting a bit of a tan.
Either way it doesnt really matter Hermiones skin color as Emma Watson did an amazing job and Im sure the lady who played her in The Cursed Child did amazing as well. I think as long as they can capture the character thats all that really matters.
Edit: I found the quote from the book it reads.
They were there, both of them, sitting outside Florean Fortescues Ice Cream Parlor Ron looking incredibly freckly, Hermione very brown, both waving frantically at him.
I also found the person I was quoting who explained it, they said.
Why would you need to remark on Hermione's very brown skin if that was its normal shade? This is very clearly saying that both Ron and Hermione have been spending more time in the sun than they usually do; in Ron, it comes out as freckles, and in Hermione, it manifests as a tan.

Loved Arthur Weasley, but Id rather him die than Sirius for several reasons:
1- Harry had already suffered enough. Share the pain with others
2- Sirius had a very tragic life. Lost his best friends, was framed and imprisoned, never got his name cleared and lived as a runaway before dying without finding love and having kids
3- Sirius was a great character and him living couldve being explored later on in the war, but mostly in the development of Harry as a person. As a friend of James, that could be used by Harry to know his parents, his motives, dreams, fears, etc. That would give Harry and his family more depth.
Some deaths are great for the shock, but they also kill very interest future plots. Examples:
- Game of Thrones: The Viper and Tywin Lannister
- Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi
- Ozark: Dels death
- Stranger Things: Billy

she said:
- she regreted that ron and hermonie ended up together. (Then why planned that out in the 1st place)
- thinking of killing Ron, Aurthur, possibly more close characters (if that happens does that mean that Hermonie wld really ended up with harry or ended up in a love triangle with Hermonie or ginny? does that mean if that happens then the movie where Hermonie and harry almost kissed is almost cannon)
- she never confirmed clear if Hermonie is white or mixed race (guess she can't make up her mind of what Hermonie is supposed to be)
that is really interesting that when she planned out 7 books, she thought she got this in the bag until when she finally finished, she faces palms herself and realized she made bad life choices on writing.
nonetheless great video.

#1 & 2 are things I completely hate that she's said. Hermione & Ron belong together because she herself manufactured the entire series with that in mind, second guessing it now is absolute nonsense in every way. I would not have cared in the slightest if Dumbledeore was written to be gay, but he wasn't, so he isn't. she doesn't get to blurt that out in an interview and alter every chance she had to reveal that in the series and did not. short of her releasing special edition versions with these new revelations tossed in, her blurts mean nothing to the books as they stand and honestly things she keeps saying these days are putting me off a re-read any time soon.

one: YASS DUMBLEDORE BE GIRLYPOPP PLEASE HES WHOLESOME

five: J. K WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU REGRET RONMIONE IS MY FUEL IN LIFE, WHEN I WANT TO SMILE, I THINK OF RONMIONE IN DEATHLY HALLOWS CHAMBER OF SECRETS. (also when they left the chamber, why are they more flushed, what else did they do in the chamber, it's full of secretssssssSssSsSSsS cue snake hissing

In Prisoner of Azkaban, Hermione's face (which was sticking out of the bushes) was described as white in the part where they were trying to get Buckbeak to move. She was not described as shocked or scared in that part, so Rowling can't just claim that it's turned white from shock.
It's a play, and Hermione's skin color really is a non-factor, so a black woman can play Hermione, just like Dean Thomas could have been white (their race does not add to or detract from the story, but you can't claim that Hermione's been black all along when you described her as white.

in Prisoner Of Azkaban THIS WAS SAID:

looking incredibly freckly, Hermione very brown, both waving frantically at him.
I don't know if this is just me but I would not describe someone who is black as, looking very brown. but that's just me.
Edit: just thought I say this so people don't get mad at me, I have nothing wrong with black people. WANNA KNOW WHY? BECAUSE I'M BLACK!

what Rowling said in that interview in 2014, I think most of the media and people misunderstood it and thought that she had repented. She never said that she regretted it, only said that she wrote Ron and Hermione's relationship in order to fulfill a personal wish, and that, while she has little credibility for their compatibility due to the differences in their personalities, she also mentions that they would have been. well if they improve their flaws over time.
reply

Im all for diversity and inclusivity, but I would rather it be done by giving us NEW CHARACTERS and not make a big deal about it then having a sudden change to existing characters and change them for the sake of others. Im gay and black and I would totally love it if JK just give me new characters then change the ones we grew with and love. I would also appreciate it if she gave us Marauders story or founding people of Hogwarts
reply

Technically if you want to get anal about it and I'm about to, it's really not free because they still have to buy everything for it. So technically the only thing free is room and board and lessons at the school, And even then if you don't buy what you need the lessons are pointless
reply

Just wondering why JK feels like she has to muddle up her own characters identities and races, like bruh. if they white they white. if they they go by he she or them it's okay just give us the book straight don't try to make your book do gymnastics so that everyone can be happy
reply

imagine dramione shippers, if hermione and draco had ended up together and have their own perspective, a mudblood and a pureblood, the gryffindor princess and the slytherin prince, and where their hatred started to bloom in loveee! and fight for their lovee

If being an Auror was such an ambitious thing and Harry ended up an Auror, but he dropped out of Hogwarts? My mans didn't even graduate and yet he got a super-duper presitigious job that's rlly hard to get and you have to be extremely academically successful?

Jk Rowling: Yes so Hagrid was a midget, Harry Potter died but was reborn, Hermione was a single mother with 7 kids the whole time, Ron was gay and he loved Dobby, and Snape was in a relationship with James Potter, and Remus Lupin at Hogwarts.

reply

I never ever saw it coming with Ron and Hermiones relationship. I was VERY surprised when that suddenly came. They dont have any chemistry or anything in common or anything. It is so forced and one of the few things I actually hate about HP.

The dumb thing is that Rowling's ok with saying that Dumbledore's gay, and all the other bull crap, but when the fans start getting suspicious that Sirius and Remus are gay she immediately shuts it down
reply

Harry: Rubeus Dobby Potter, you were named after two of my true and loyal friends instead of
a. A headmaster who raised him for slaughter

Jk: I named Sirius black Sirius black because he was seriously black, you got it all wrong. Oh and Draco was actually plotting to kill Ginny.

Well, Grindelwald is Dumbledore's equal, not to mention that they made a blood pact together, which kept each other from actually killing each other off.

Jk Rowling: Snape was actually a mexican emigrant who came to Hogwarts by crossing the Trump-wall on the mexican-american border.
