Excuuuuuuse me. but Megara in Hercules isn't exactly just looking out for number one. What she does throughout most of the film, she does under duress for Hades because she doesn't really have a lot of choice in the matter. Years before the story begins, she selflessly sold her soul to Hades in order to save the man she loved who then turned out to be a douchebag -- he betrayed her and abandoned her for another woman. Meg is actually not all that proud of what she's doing -- pay attention to that line in the garden when she's talking about people being petty and dishonest while she's looking at her reflection in the water (she's including herself in that comment) -- but she has to do what Hades wants in order to earn her freedom. She's angry and upset over the way in which other people have used her (her ex-boyfriend) and are still using her (Hades) and she's determined not to let it happen again. She's not looking out for number one because she's selfish -- she's simply trying to protect herself because other people have taken advantage of her in the past.

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie. But I must admit that literally giving up your life for someone is a lot more romantic and should have either been #1 or at least #2. Anna should have been an honorable mention and Pocahontas or Esmeralda, or both should have been on the list. For me I always looked at Tiana as having thought of her dad when she chose to not take the deal, not necessarily because of Naveen. But I guess that's just me.

I'd say the coolest thing about Jasmine was when she protected Aladdin from the guards, just as she revealed her high rank. Which she was not planning to do, but she did for him. And after she was told that Jafar was behind it, she was totally determined to confront him about this. Jasmine is simply a strong, powerful woman, which is why I love her so much.

Feel like Jane should be higher than Anna, not that it wasnt sweet forbuyinghim a sled with ALL the money she possesses but Jane seriously was ready to sacrifice never seeing her dad again, never seeing civilization again, she didnt even bring her stuff! Megara Ariel Rapunzel and Giselle all shouldve been higher. At least top. Megara should have been 1 because like many other comments she saved hercules but died in the process in a heroic sacrafice. Not breaking a curse or sending a dove to kiss a dude legit gave her life to save the one she loved.

What about in Hunchback where Esmerelda barely has the strength to hold on to an unconcious Quasimodo, dangling over the edge of Notre Dame, Frollo is about to chop off her head, but she refuses to let go of her friend to save herself? Maybe it's not romantic but the moment is poignant on it's own

I personally feel that Meg choosing to chase after people to save Herculess life from himself is more showing of her love than saving his life since it was also somewhat political that she did save his life from the pillar

Belle saving Beast should have been just an honorable mention cause she had no idea saying I love you would save him while Meg and Esmeralda (who should have been in the countdown) risks their lives to help the men they loved.

Honestly the Mulan conforting shouldnt be ranked superior to Jane staying.
Its the course of an entire life Jane sacrificed while Mulan, altough nice its not sacrificing anything and only took 1 minute of her time
