Interesting to consider, many commentators and journo's are using lines like never destined to be a monarch when in fact Princess Elizabeth was 2nd in the line of succession when her uncle became King. Had the then Prime Minister allowed Edward VIII to remain the monarch, and marry Wallis Simpson, Simpson would have been in her early 40's by the time they married (she was 40 and still married when Edward ascended the throne. While not out of the question, it is very possible the Royal couple may have remained childless (some biographers, without solid evidence, have suggested she was infertile) and the crown would have still, ultimately, fallen to the Princess Elizabeth. Just an interesting observation which suggests, regardless of the circumstances, the world may likely still have had the experience of the incredible Queen Elizabeth II, albeit delayed and not for as long. May she RIP.

She really did work for her ppl and it really hurts losing such a powerful figure. Not many ppl remain from the time of WW2 and she knew the true value of freedom first hand. Im not obsessed with the royals but Queen Elizabeth is a special woman who easily showed you didnt have to be a man just to get the job done. She was a woman of power who rightfully commanded respect through service to her ppl and by god did she hold on for us.

Her Majesty the Queen was a remarkable woman. One picture she was visited Hong Kong in 1975 on a street market to know the local life and her subjects. Then in 1986, she and Prince Philip also revisited Hong Kong. Prince Charles and Princess Diana also visited HK before handover of the colony. HM Queen Elizabeth II will be missed, and RIP. God Save The Queen.

The queen's speech on Christmas or the New 2022 year she looked so calm and healthy. Really, I've expected her to live 4 more years at least. So sad. A real woman and a real queen. She'll be missed. Although I'm a foreigner I liked her and I liked how radiant she always looked on camera! Such a sad day.
