the newest show has many flaws, but its strengths are more than enough to make up for it. I will criticize these flaws tho.
when Christina Ricci was Wednesday, she was a psychopath (sometimes justified tho) and against the cultural norms, she had magical trinkets and was living in the supernatural.
Jenna Ortega's Wednesday on the other hand. what exactly makes her an outcast? she's not a supernatural being, she's proably the only real human student in all of her school, she never killed, and her family only have 1 murder to their name, so she's not a serial killer or a genocidal maniac o something. she also does not have any magical abilities, as a matter of fact, the person who wanted to kill her, he was a resurrected undead zombie with magical powers, yet he's a normie and she's an outcast? o_O
and having some unreliable psychic abilities that you don't tell anyone about does not qualify her to be an outcast, you (the reader) probaby had few De Ja Vu experiences in your life, does that mean you should study in a school of vampires, Aliens, and other supernatural beings? if so, I predict something slightly unusual will happen to you between 4: 00 to 6: 00 pm, if my prediction is right, send me to such school XD

However i still think that Christina Ricci is the best and prettiest Wednesday Addams at all time, she is already an icon. (Its rly nice that shes included in the series) I thought she was pretty and charming at first look, i (didnt like Jenna as Wednesday til the 2nd episode. christina played the dark sarcastic and funny Wednesday naturally, i can remeber the iconic scene where she tried to smile and i think that was brilliant. Try to watch the Addams Family Values first and ull see what i mean. However they made the series darker and Wednesday is different here, which should be incomparable from Christinas

I love how pretty much the vast majority of actual Addams Family fans, the ones who are actually fans of these characters, we are in collective agreement that Wednesday is good. Hell even non-Addams Family fans know the show is good. Not exactly sure what this small minority of people who hate the show are smoking. Sometimes gatekeeping is needed.
Lets be completely honest, people hating on Wednesday really do have bad taste if they cant recognize it as a good show. If you genuinely dont think its a good show, then yes youre delusional. Big ooof. And yes, the people hating on Netflixs Wednesday are being laughed at, especially by long time Addams Fans

No way the original obviously WASP girl can be changed to a Latina! Whoever invented the character back in the days must be spinning in his grave. Everything else can be changed but not the race. Wrong colour just ruins everything. After all almost 10 % of world population is white so entertainment industry needs to respect the rights of a minority. Its like having a black mermaid which has ruined the joy of life for so many people.

Tbh I loved those movies growing up in the 90s, and actually got the 1st Addams Family Movie on VHS from McDonalds with my kids meal back in the 90s. BUT the Addams Family Tv show from the 2000s was highlyyy underrated! I loved that show
