What about.
A. Hayley Mills (she plays two Americans in _The Parent Trap_ but is British IRL)
B. Lindsay Lohan (like one of her characters in the remake, she is American IRL, but her other character is British)
C. Cary Elwes (he is British IRL, but he voices an American named Donald Curtis, specifically from Texas, in the English dub of Studio Ghibli's _Porco Rosso_ which is ironic, seeing as the rest of the major cast are American IRL, but voicing NON-American characters)

It wasn't until I started really trying to learn how accents work that I picked up on a few fake Americans
Idris Elba's accent slips a few times in the movie Obsessed
James McAvoy slips a few times in Wanted (most notably when he screams at his boss)
Hugh Laurie is really good with his accent, but his pronunciation of certain words gives him away
Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head

This is the second Actors and their Accents video in the past few months where you've ignored just how brilliant Kate Winslet is with foreign accents. A German accent in her Oscar-winning performance for The Reader; a Polish accent for her Oscar-nominated performance for Steve Jobs; and great American accents for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and a difficult Philadelphia-specific accent for Mare of Easttown.

3: 10 The movie being discussed in that scene, The Wrecking Crew, has a DC connection of its own: it was adapted from a book whose publisher is now part of DC itself, a publisher called Fawcett. Fawcett Publications gave DC the character of Captain Marvel, who DC renamed as SHAZAM!

I can't understand how the ranking work. You have Cate Blanchett at #8, does that mean all the people above her are better? You even said Margot Robbie's accent slipped through in one of her roles but she is placed higher. No disrespect to Ms Robbie, just referring to what you said.

What I love about Meryl Steep is that she really seems to relish acting in tough roles. I always get the feeling that getting her teeth into a project is a blast for her, like she can't wait to surprise people with her completely different sound and looks!

OMG! I was LITERALLY holding my breath when you were winding down to the top 2 people! Wow!
Thank you sooooooooooooo INCREDIBLY much for recognizing Miss Streep as the one who holds the most accents in her arsenal. Its about time she won for something!

Everyone on the list is incredible, but can we get an honorable mention for James Marsters. For 7 years his British accent was so good many Brits thought he was one of them. And he did a good chunk of it in a vampire prosthetic and mouthpiece!

I'm gobsmacked that you actually had Charlize Theron in one of your clips (with Idris on Prometheus) but she somehow didn't make your list. The woman didn't even speak English until she moved to the US at the age of 19.

Are you telling me that Hugh Laurie's British accent in his small role in Friends was his actual one? And that his American accent as a protagonist in the 8 whole seasons of House M. D. was fake? I am stunned.

3: 36 You could've just ended Robbie's chapter on Queen Elizabeth I, considering that Tennant also appears in _Mary Queen of Scots_ as John Knox, using a Scottish accent that is arguably thicker than his own.

I am not impressed with Renees British accent. I think it sounded fake. Both Gweneth Paltrow and Claire Danes have done the most convincing British accent for American actresses. Far better than Renee.

No Kate Winslet? No Saoirse Ronan? I agree with the #1 pick but think Kate deserves to be on here. If anything, she won an Oscar for The Reader where she had a German accent the whole movie.

I wasn't expecting Meryl Streep to outpace Daniel Day Lewis and Christian Bale, but then you mention she spoke Polish-accented German. Mind-blowing. I should've watched Sophie's Choice years ago.

I know. I learned about Gillian after I watched Red Eye. The producers were concerned about his accent. He assured them that his American accent would be right when he showed up to film

Anybody remember Delroy Lindo? He costarred in a few Spike Lee films and he played one of two detectives chasing Nicolas Cage's character in Gone In In 60 Seconds. He's a British born.

Regular supporting actor Tom Wilkinson, who's had small roles in Mission Impossible 4 and Batman Begins, is a British actor who does a real good US accent

Kate Winslet is one of the very few who can convincingly pull off not only and Aussie accent, but a Kiwi accent. 2 of the 3 hardest accents to perfect.

Honourable mention to Val Kilmer in The Saint. He pulled of South African and Australian - arguably two of the hardest accents to get right.
