Ross is really a overhated character for me. Many point out his mistakes and bad things, even though many of what he does are good things. Like he never complained that the division of custody of Ben was unfair just because he thought this was what was best for Ben, then that he tried to be okay about Joey dating Rachel even though it was clear he wasn't okay because even Joey knew how he felt to Rachel and knowing that Ross still and will always love Rachel, and how he bought Phoebe a bicycle because Phoebe had never tried riding a bicycle before and many others.

Balancing your career and relationships definitely shouldve made the list. Rachel finally found her calling in life and as much as she supported Ross in his career he was horrible to her and never showed her any support. The only time he showed interest was out of jealousy and dont even get me started on the picnic at her job like COME ON. Also Monica choosing not to move with Chandler to purse her dream job was an interesting but very realistic twist. Luckily it worked for them so thats all that matters but long distance relationships are not for the weak.

My wife's an incredible woman. She's loving and devoted and caring. And don't tell her I said this, but the woman's always right. I love my wife more than anything in this world. And I. it kills me that I can't give her a baby. I really want a kid. And when that day finally comes, I'll learn how to be a good dad. But my wife. she's already there. She's a mother. Without a baby.
I love that they gave Chandler this moving speech, and allowed him to show his vulnerable side by reaffirming his love for Monica.

I will go to Miss Matthew Perry, because I am sad because hes dead on with the reality and he will always be there for and he will always be my brother is pretty hard for me to that hes gone forever I will never forget about him no one replaced him I always love him very very much he always makes me laugh and until my guts out I do need him I always do I didnt get a chance too met him but in person Im crying too much because I missed him and love him very very much but thats life I wanted too hug him

I think the Chandler's dad storylines get more flack than necessary. Yes, they should have had a transgender person playing the character to be fully inclusive, but I never saw it as making fun of the character, but how Chandler handled it in his own way - through self-deprecating, dry humour, like other difficult aspects of his life. We're always seeing the character through Chandler's perspective, not really our own.

They WERE on a freaking break AND it was her call! He should NOT have slept with someone with things as delicate and tenuous as they were with Rachel, but he was also hurt and hurt people often act out. It was definitely immature. I don't defend either character, because they were both boneheads. However, I don't feel that Ross should be the only one in the scenario taking all of the heat. OK, I said my piece

For me, the episode where Ross and Rachel break up the first time really brought a tear to my eye. They weee so perfect but it shows the importance of loyalty and respect for your partner. What Ross did was wrong but he made it worse by trying to cover it up. I love Ross but what he did to Rachel was wrong and he deserved all the treatment he got from her.

I'm so glad Friends brought up the big difference in money that your friends can have. Most of my friends are not as well off as myself, and it's a difficult journey for both sides when someone is struggling. My advice, dont be the savior they are not asking for. Instead, be there for your friend when they need you.

One thing that is commonly said with comedy is that its so watered down nowadays. Back then comedy was a safe spot to poke fun at anything bc it was for laughs its sad that we are even restricting laughs now. The fact that friends and the office wouldve been off the air before season 1 finished is sad

I think the issue with Chandler's dad is not quite a misgender. I mean it is, but looking at it from Chan's point of view I understand his difficulty and maybe also his refusal to call his father she. It can't be easy, even more in that period when this subject wasn't as discussed
reply

If Phoebe and Mike got married then how come Mike was not with the group or mentioned much, especially the last episode when everyone left the apartments? Here's to hoping plenty of good things to to a passionate girl who as this video says Sees life as amazing a worth treasuring
reply

For me the whole Joey falling for Rachel line was what happens when you fall in love with a friend but that love is not reciprocated. Honestly was kind of cruel to Joey who really did not deserve it but at the same time it showed that sometimes the nicest guys do finish last.
reply

The whole Ross, Rachel and Joey was important in just one thing: just because you're really close friends doesn't mean that you have to date each other, friendship is way more important, i like how Ross and Joey didn't have a real fight about it 'cause of their friendship
reply

No, a break from us Rachel said it therefore they are on a break! As for exes being friends? My parents are NOT friends cos my father is toxic. My mother raised me by herself. I'm an unemployable uneducated freak who's never had a relationship and never ever will.
reply

Yes the jokes about Monicas body when she was younger is now dated but this show will now be 30 years old and is still celebrated and loved today as it ever was, my number 1 comfort show and have been religiously watching it to say goodbye to Matthew Perry.
reply

I never really got into Friends until it has already been on for 4 or 5 years but for me it was a show that sometimes wasnt afraid to push the envelope with some issues like gay marriage and surrogacy even if it did a lighter take for comedic value.
reply

The most powerful moment to me is when Janice, a new mother, is talking to an pregnant Rachel in the hospital and stresses that it will be just her and Emma from now on. Trying to scare Rachel into seeing what being a single parent would be like.
reply

They forgot about how parenting can be hard. A great example of this is when frank jr notice how taking care of 3 triplets can take its toll on him. Luckily he she had phoebe to tell him that she can help out whenever he wants
reply

Yes indeed, Another great aspect of this comedy was tackling serious issues. Pheobes surrogacy led to some truly heartfelt moments. The income disparity was also handled so very well, except Rachel finally did catch up later.
reply

I honestly believe that it's important for a non trans audience to see the differences of the ways trans communities are portrayed. watching different shows and how they deal with less generic topics or individuals.
reply

it makes me feel even more roommates moving out joey and chandler when joey moves out chandler was sad and eating ice cream alone that part was hit me rock bottom down oh and alcohol disorder when fun Bobby its sober
reply

Ross and Rachel were on a break but there is a difference between a break and a break up! During a break you don't go sleeping with other people! After a break up everybody is free to do what they want!
reply

(My) Honorable Mention: Dealing with Death.
As someone who has lost so many loved 1s in his life, Mr. Heckles, as well as, Monica & Ross's nana dying (twice! ) were a couple of my favorite episodes.

reply

The dealing with divorce one really hits home for me as a child of divorced couple who couldn't be in one room for years. All the family drama spilling I didn't know about. That's traumatizing.
reply

It's weird but I wasn't a fan of friends and that's only because I maybe I didn't have that many friends but watching this show maybe. Yell enjoy it a bit better I don't know it's just not for me
reply

Even though Jennifer didn't get a baby of her own she is the godmother of coco arquette the daughter of Courtney aka Monica and David aka Malcolm Malcolm was Ursula's stalker and dated Phoebe
reply

Of course with #6 and 7, here comes wokeville to sentence everyone involved to lifelong lashings for daring to offend them years before they could wipe their own asses
reply

Rachel having Mark in her apartment when Ross called her means that they were on a break. I mean, the one man in the entire planet that should not have been there.
