22: 13, McLeach should've been arrested by the rangers, or even immediately eaten by the crocodiles instead of falling over the waterfall, because his fall is NOT good enough in my opinion! If you look closely at McLeach, you can see him tucking himself into a ball as he goes down the waterfall, which is actually considered as a fairly effective way to survive a waterfall that deep without hitting any rocks at the bottom, which will also come off as unacceptable, considering that McLeach will get away with his crimes scot-free after surviving the waterfall, and he would've seriously kidnapped Cody again, but this time, it would be a house kidnapping right in the middle of the night, and the Rescue Aid Society wouldn't be able to stop McLeach in time, neither will the boy's mother, or the rangers.
Not only that is the reason why I find The Rescuers Down Under decent in my opinion, but other reasons why I didn't like it as much are, one, the captured animals never escaped, two, the film IGNORED Cody's heartbroken mother at the end, and three, too much dark, depressing and violent scenes. To be honest, I think murdering a child is WORSE than murdering an adult, and that's the biggest reason why I wanted McLeach arrested or eaten by the crocs, and also, the death of their child is known to be every parent's worst nightmare!
I'm really sorry, but I really think Down Under really needs a sequel, but it'll be more on the serious side as it focuses on Cody's PTSD after suffering a lot of horrendous events while kidnapped by that horrible poacher, and honestly, I'm extremely surprised that Cody never cried in the film after all those unfortunate events. Most of all, I want those captured animals rescued on-screen, and this time, no failures!

Honestly, I would have loved to see an alternate ending where Jafar won. The only reason he lost is because he couldnt keep his ego in check long enough. Once he made his first two wishes, he let his megalomania get the better of him. He wasnt just the sultan at that point, he was also the most powerful sorcerer in the world. If he had kept the former sultan out of the way, he would have still reduced Jasmines tiger to a little kitten, and could actually have had his way with her mind. If he had enough power behind him to make a new staff, he could surely make it replicate the hypnotic function of his old one, and the only thing stopping Jafar from brainwashing Jasmine in the first place was the tiger. Putting that aside, if he hadnt fallen for Aladdins provocation and stockpiled his final wish until he really, REALLY needed it, he would have won. Jafar let his ego get in the way, and forgot that as long as he had at least one wish, he controlled the genie. Sure hed have to make sure the genie could never be used again, but considering he had all the power he believed he needed, he could have just said hey, just to make sure you cant be used against me, Im trapping you in an unbreakable bubble, and commissioning a dungeon several miles deep to lock you in, peace. Honestly, if he found a way to separate Rajah from Jasmine, he would have won before the movie started. He never would have needed the genie.

The best thing about Jafar's defeat is that Aladdin not only plays to his ego, but also plays to Jafar's lack of creativity. Aladdin's hard life forced him to learn to get creative and clever. Jafar's life of power, however, has caused Jafar to lean more on tools and other people than his own cleverness. So Aladdin knows that Jafar isn't prone to thinking outside of the box. Jafar COULD have said I wish to be all-powerful. Instead, he says I wish to be an all-powerful genie. That's because the genie is the only example of omnipotence that Jafar has seen thus far, and so his mind naturally jumped to that. Which is exactly what Aladdin was expecting Jafar's mind to do.

Actually several villains did succeed:
Jafar: the only reason why he lost was because of a nearly dead Iago kicking his lamp into lava.
Scar: succeeded early in the beginning. The only comeuppance was him saying out loud that he tricked the hyenas
Ernesto: he succeeded in killing his friend, and actual grandfather to forgot his name, Hector and stealing all of Hector fame for fifty years. Even in the afterlife, Ernesto still succeeded until the final moments.
Yzma: she did actually take the throne from Kuzco for a good long while. Though hilariously she's probably one of the only villain not to actually die like other villains.

The only question I had with Reck-It Ralph's logic: If a playable character suddenly stopped appearing on the character choice frame, wouldn't that already be a broken game for people? Like I'd imagine a kid who loved venellope arrived at the arcade one day to suddenly find their favorite character was no longer on screen. That be a serious confusion for the kid and the manager would definitely be called. At least for me if that happened to any of my game I'd think either my device was glitching or the server's broken.

I think Syndrome should've been on the list. Had Mr. Incredible not hide behind Gazerbeam's skeleton, the probe would've notified Syndrome and he would've killed Mr. Incredible once and for all. He could've also cut the monologs and have the omnidroid v. 9 finish off Mr. Incredible. Then again, even if Syndrome succeeded in killing the hero he once looked up to, he still wouldn't be able to be a hero himself since the omnidroid gets smart enough to wonder why it has to take orders.

Disney was always good at crafting their villains, and very daring when you consider most of their films are geared for children.
I think the closest they'd ever come to writing a villain winning would be a Zootopia scenario; where the villain is never figured out, succeeds in permanently changing their world, and the only saving grace is that the protagonists realize it doesn't have to change how they treat one another (morale being we don't have to be victims of our environment.

All Hades had to do was put Meg into an enchanted slumber or something and place her somewhere far away from the destruction the moment Herc walked away. When you put a clause like that into a deal with a being as strong as Herc, you take out an insurance policy to prevent that clause from so much as stubbing her toe.

William Clayton hunt gorillas and sell them, but is stopped by Tarzan.
Dr. Facilier would have taken over New Orleans, if he hasn't used voodoo, and turned Tiana into a frog in the first place.
But Scar had ruled the Pride Lands, pushed Mufasa down, and the three hyenas were banished.

Frollo loses in Disney's version, but he is killed in the novel as Emseralda is hanged to death. He was pushed off Norte Dame to his violet death instead of fire. So, in a way, he did win, and it caused the death of Quasimodo in the end of the book as well, who died of a broken heart.

I wish Gaston actually survived so he couldve seen the Beast become human, reunite with Belle, and then pass out when he realizes Belle was to him forever to someone who is even more good looking than him. After that, he spends the rest of his life in the dungeon.

You didn't mention Calahan. He had the heroes trapped and destroyed the building he intended to destroy. But it was the main characters thinking outside the box to find a way out of their predicaments and eliminating Calahan's micro bots to stop his plan.

Glad to see The Horned King is mentioned in this video. He actually succeeded (for a short time) and I think if he knew from Gurgi's existence or if Gurgi was captured together with the others the Horned King probably would have been unstoppable.

I think Ernesto should have been #1, I mean literally got away with it in life and in death. If it wasn't because our small protagonist went to the land of the dead or even Hector remembering the poisoning, he would have gotten away with it.

Dont forget Morgana from the little mermaid 2. If she had just killed off melody after she was given the trident or even used it to keep her turned into a mermaid after that, she wouldve outright won right then and there.

Couldnt the evil queen have just tricked Snow White into drinking the ugly potion? But no she makes herself ugly and gives Snow White a cursed apple that has a small chance of being broken. She brought it upon herself.

I'm surprised that Belos from The Owl House isn't on here. I mean, he was VERY close to conquering and potentially destroying the Demon Realm once he thought he killed Luz during the show's finale.

I am so happy that Scar is #1! Yes it was sad that we had to see him kill Mufasa and if he would have succeeded in killing Simba himself then the movie would have ended in a another way.

Mother Gothel could have salvaged the situation if she simply made the promise to help Flynn and Rapunzel raise any children they would have had in the guise of being their nanny.
