To me, a one-hit wonder means an artist who literally had one hit song throughout their entire career. So, with that being said.
Michael Sembello reached the top 40 again with Automatic Man, as did Stacey Q with We Connect and Tommy Tutone with Angel Say No
Boy Meets Girl, The Dream Academy, Matthew Wilder, and Rockwell each had a second hit in the U. S, and same with After The Fire and The Korgis in the U. K, Sheriff I Canada, Trans-X in Germany, Double in Belgium, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians in Canada and the Netherlands, Stan Ridgeway in Belgiam and the Netherlands, and Baltimora, Desireless, and even Lipps Inc. in various European countries
Diesel had two other hits in the Netherlands
F. R. David had two other hits in Germany
Aneka, Kaoma, Opus, Robin Beck, and Taco are bigger names in select parts of Europe (Kaoma is also a big name in South America)
Bobby McFerrin and Gregory Abbott are better known as music producers
Al B. Sure had more cultural hits than chart hits (and was even featured on Quincy Jones U. S. top 40 hit Secret Garden (Sweet Seduction Suite)
The Other Ones had a minor hit with We Are What We Are
Frank Stallone, Jack Wagner, Murray Head, Patrick Swayze, and Toni Basil were all singing actors who shouldn't qualify as such a title as they're best known for their work on stage/screen rather than music
Otherwise, good job this time. And thanks for including some of these artists' further musical successes and even removing Devo from the as they're r better known culturally than chart-ly (if that's a word.

I have one absolute favourite - 'Into The Night' by Benny Mardones. the video doesn't give it justice but it's a great song and about someone in a bad life he wants to help. 'Shake You Down' by Gregory Abbot is a great song. Sensual ballad. It's sad Kaoma well the lead lady was murdered. 'Lambada' a timeless classic. 'Life Is Life' is still known advertising Argos (British shop. 'Move Closer' is gorgeous. Glad the UK appreciated it and it made #1 here. My Dad had her album - not a bad album actually. 'I Like You' the follow-up which flopped was a big hit in nightclubs in the mid 80s and a hit in France I believe. Of course 'Mickey' is timeless.

You should include this in your next songs you didn’t know were covers video: You’re My Favorite Waste of Time was originally by Marshall Crenshaw. Never heard Owen Paul’s version, but forever in love with Crenshaw’s!

I am so happy I grew up as a teen in the 80s. Some of my friends SA u they are envious that this was my era and it's because of all tge awesome artists and music that were just breaking out or had just come on the scene

I saw many of these on MTV. back when they were actually MUSIC television. Smelling of jet fuel, listening to the F-111s taking off (or landing, as our dorm was 1/2 mile from the flightline. good times, good times.

According to VH1's Top 100 One Hit Wonders, the ONLY reason why Rockwell's Somebody is Watching Me even became a hit is because Michael Jackson sang the chorus.
