Woman Spends 3 Years Trying To Catch Stray Dog Faith = Restored I do wonder whether some humans actually take on animals as pets, because of their own emotional needs, and the pet has to put up with this behaviour, even when it entails dressing them up in ridiculous outfits as if they are supposed to be surrogate babies. Dogs being what they are, put up with this treatment, because they have no choice once a human owns’ them. I much prefer to see animals running wild, but dogs especially have now been bred to rely on humans and their emotions. Sadly.

Not believing most of this video.
1. dogs cannot survive on their own for 3 years in a canyon
2. the dog was big as a horse, even though it could not provide food for itself the first years
3. the woman claims to have been intensely heart-broken for 3 years, but then ships the poor dog out almost immediately
This seems like a video of a woman that wants attention.

You can see she’s blind in the left eye at least. That’s why it was so hard to approach.
Tbh though, that dog had a hole dug somewhere safe and warm in the winter. No way she was sleeping out in the cold with the amount of power a dog like that can wield to provide itself some protection. Also, you guys kept her well fed, good job.

The dog looked healthy was very kind refused shelter how do we know that the dog didn’t have a place with a owner but just wanted more food and knew this lady gives her bags of it how do we know that u didn’t just take someones pet away and everyday lulu looks outside she thinks of when they’ll come save her HOW DO WE KNOW
reply

I'm glad that they were feeding her and rescued her but to think that all those plastic bags that had food in them go, just makes me wonder couldn't of they just left the food in a bowl and let her eat out of it Instead of all those plastic bags littering that area, but who knows maybe they cleaned up the bags.

This couple respected that big lovely dog hesitations. Then, when they could, they showed her how much love and care she was missing on.
Got to applaud this couple! Lovely story of taking care from a distance. This big adorable girl deserves all the love she can get.

ugh that was SO GOOD! I really fell in love with the two people involved with the rescue -- so much passion. I loved when she admitted that people thought she was insane for caring so much about Lulu, but that insanity is really a form of empathy. So heartening and beautiful.

This is such a strange story. feeding her for three years, crying at nights, using ziplock bags for some reason, going to the extent of snaring the dog and then giving her away what on Earth Also using words like capture and surrender At least the dog seemed happy in the end

A therapist once told me that we appreciate and value things more when we work hard for them. Lulu must be one special girl! 3 yrs is a long time and the rescuers never gave up on her and felt it was time to snatch her so that she could live a better life. They r heroes!

To anyone that needs it. You are great you are strong you can withstand anything sometimes it has to be a situation where you don't have a choice but you can withstand it I love you it'll get better have a great day and if you don't don't worry soon you will

I have been feeding a stray cat for a few year in my backyard. The Cat has zero interest in being a pet. We have bad winters in Canada and it's life is tough, but atleast I knock off hungry off its list of troubles.

I think Lulu would've been willing to go into your yard years sooner, if only she could've gotten past that iron curtain! Jeez, food is great, but you kept a barrier to keep her out!
reply

If it takes you three years to catch a dog Then you should of asked for help from people whom could catch her in a reasonable time. Horrible she waited 3 years. Annoying
reply

You folks did a great job of feeding and capturing her so she could have a loving home. If one person out of 10 did that, we would have no stray animals anywhere.
reply

Bruh why couldn’t she just leave the dog. She didn’t wanna be captured Do you wanna be captured, oh wait, you’re too smart to be captured too
reply

Crazy how many of these commenters seem to think that a dog is best left in the wild then adopted out. Crazy.
Glad this poor gal got adopted.

It took her three years to catch an old, almost blind dog
Give me a leash and I would get that thing in the back of the car in 15 minutes.

Really snarky comments from folks I'll wager don't rescue. Hey. Probably not even veggie. Looks pretty easy from your couches eh
reply

Can you believe it, that God wants the same for you
He too is waiting for you to come to him, to help you with everything.

Dogs are incredibly social. They need it just like we do.
To see her be able to just drop out of survival mode was fantastic!

This video says everything you need to know about American. Something doesn’t add up, care way more about dogs than people.
reply

How wonderful that they were finally able to get her into a loving home for the life that all dogs deserve. Tail wags!
reply

She lived her life by her rules. Love this story, and glad her late years will be more comfortable and with love.
reply

Hi! Not anything specific, I wanted to just ask, can the 4-5 minute videos be longer Like at the 10 minute mark
reply

I realize this is years after the fact, but did you ever locate the dogs safe house Those bags had to go somewhere.
reply

Makes my heart glad when people make time, effort, and homes for big senior dogs, thank you
reply

Great story, at last you saved her. You are good people and heros in my eyes!
reply

We should all have someone who can teach us that we can do something great.
reply

3 years, Lady, that means the dog as an IQ Level higher than yourself
reply

I was right into this story until they gave Lulu away. Like, what After 3 years
reply

It shows how much love some people just have that they won't give up
reply

It's sweet that you helped feed her but maybe she liked living on her own
