He could put a cast over it he just has to make sure the area is cleaned real good and flushed out before he puts the cast over it and make sure the cast is dry and sealed all the way. Im sure the vet would cast it over for him. I’m glad he doesn’t put anything in the tank because it being like that one poke or scrap could kill the turtle. He is a good man and glad he not giving up on him.

It’s True. Turtles have unbelievable personalities my buddy had a red eared slider. I started just playing with him when I was there. he grew attached and he would chase be around the house. even down carpeted stairs. And he would play hide and seek. BOTH SEEKING AND HIDING it was adorable.

This guy has inspired me to take good care to the animals and i finally found a lizard egg infact it was a gecko and i raised it well then half a year i let it go to the wild we took one last hug then he left i was sad but proud and this man inpired me to take good care of my lizard.

That is remarkable that you’ve kept her alive and healthy for so long. Awesome story! There is nothing like taking in an animal that no one else wants and seems to be a hopeless cause and healing them and making their life better.

You can attach a small dome like mesh or small slightly arched ribs to make a kind of rib cage just to protect the soft part from injury without trapping anything inside.

You could make a little guard, or a temporary ridge either side of the hole, it's a precarious situation for her, I would be worried about it man.
