gibberish name
Am I just being an old curmudgeon or does Molly come across as way less knowledgable as other hosts? Part of it is the pud/yogce sal shortening of all the words (but that's just because I'm an old. Maybe that's in the edit, maybe it's the rush to film x number of videos a week, but it is what it is, but even little things like who would fill a jar with liquid then top with seeds, THEN precariously try to stir everything without making a big mess? why not stir it in the GIANT BLENDER carafe? or pour the seeds first THEN top with liquid and shake? Maybe it's just this video showing the off camera people tricking/correcting her and not cutting that out. Or maybe I just trust Carla because she reminds me of my mom cooking.

If I just blended the chia seeds with the other ingredients and still let it soak over night, would it be the same output? Just even smoother? Like i would prefer just no chia lumps whatsoever. Same question for steal cut oats. If I blend the oats to a power in my vitamix and then cook them over the stove with milk for 30 minutes, would it be more of a consistent feel? If anyone has done either, please advise

just a heads up this makes 4-6 servings. If you make it just like the recipe with whole milk yogurt, the calorie break down is 476 per serving when dividing into 4 servings or 317 per serving for 6. If you used non fat milk yogurt, its 466 for a cup of this (4 portions) and 311 for a cup (6 portions. Healthier than a cupcake, nutritionally. A standard homemade cupcake is about 350 cals.

Can we stop putting vegan and healthy food together? It's somehow assumed that if it's vegan, it's healthy. Vegan food CAN be healthy, but so can a butter-basted steak. A carb-loaded vegan dessert isn't a healthy option. A small butter-basted filet mignon with a side salad is. it's all relative, and food isn't solely healthy because of its genre.

I would make sure to tell people what's in the parfait because I would assumed it was chocolate pudding and whip cream. I would have been a little upset. I mean no offense. Dates and seed stuff are gross. Plus, no sugar in dessert. If I liked healthy food, i would feel different, maybe. I'm sure she's a lovely chef. It's not you. It's me.

Well executed and great concept, except that it is a chia pudding, which is, despite anyone's best efforts, slimy and heavy and leaves you feeling full but empty, at least in my experience. I'll give this a shot, though. I am still looking for a good use of chia that isn't pet related.

Really, cashew milk isn't milk. Neither is almond milk, milk. Actually, the government is making manufactures remove, milk from the name of liquids that aren't actually milk. I'm surprised these guys are using that misnomer in 2019.

Tip: put the chia seeds in the jar first, or just pour the liquid half way, put in chia seeds, and then pour the rest so that it's easier to mix. I'm still trying to convince myself to like dates, but I'll give this a whirl.

Tip I just learned: blend your chia seeds with everything else and your pudding will be smooth just like pudding should be. Also, chia seeds like flax seeds should be ground in order to get all the nutrients.
