The first time I went to K-Town in Toronto, I walked into a tiny restaurant packed with people. It was summer, 95 degrees outside, no air conditioning, but everyone was eating this steaming hot soup (which I learned later was pork-neck soup. We ended up looking for an air-con place but I wish I had stayed to eat the gamjatang.

Coincidentally, me and my gf went to this same restaurant on Saturday, we ordered the same thing and it was not that good. The soup was watery and lacked depth of flavour. Great example that Torontos food scene is pathetic. Go to Japan instead.

Gamjatang is not something I would ever want to eat in public, since I'd really want to get all up in those bones and get every edible scrap. Same reason why I don't like eating fried chicken in public.

The girl ears smarter then the dude. I usually do that with my soup and rice also, if eating your soup and rice like the dude, by the time you get to the bottom of your bowl of rice, the rice is all mushy.

This is my areathis restaurant has lost it's touch ever since expanding to become a franchise. Back of the restaurant the patio is good though. I think that is run by the daughter. seasonal

I love this is very similar to Filipino soup, except it's spicy. I'm currently living in Edmonton and it's not that popular here. Only select Korean restaurant offer this in Alberta.

It's best that if you have two people, you order one gamjatang and an order spicy pork ribs (dweji kalbi) to share. It's literally the most perfect Korean meal.

With all the great and amazing Korean restaurants in Toronto especially in North York where they filmed this video, they literally picked the worst one. sigh
