This is a clip from the season finale of No Passport Required! You can stream the entire first season of No Passport Required here: Andy: .. really nice clean beef. Why would one have to say that? Was there a chance we would want to use nasty dirty beef? Does he mean something other the opposite of dirty when he says clean, like maybe lean? I'm really starting to get annoyed with the use of the word clean as it applies to diet. Who eats dirty! What is that even supposed to mean? Do people mean eating 'well' when they say eating clean? It's just so vague and indirect and widely used now, and for so long without clarification that it's just becoming meaningless.

I went to an Ethiopian restaurant several times. Wed show up, be seated then wed give our order. We would wait. And wait. and wait. We would eventually leave without having any food. Every now and again when wed receive a small crate that would parachute down from the ceiling with some grain and some water purification tablets

Im a little bit confused why did you guys used fenugreek and cumin for kitfo? are they even necessary to make kitfo? When my mom makes it she uses only mitmita korerima and butter I have never heard of fenugreek and cumin to go with it but it looks delicious

The number of people who think we shouldn't eat raw beef tho. It's not like french, ethiopians and most likely many other countries have done it for. Probably a really long time. Please don't be so ignorant people, open up your mind a bit.

Kitfo reminds me of beef tartare or steak tartare minus the raw egg on top and that beautiful clarified spiced butter looks like it gives the dish great flavor. Love you Marcus and I'll be visiting #RedRooster again very soon!

I see Habasha Ethiopians haven't evolved yet from eating raw meat. We somalis aren't threat to you anymore so you can start cooking like any normal people. No wonder Ethiopians have horrible stinking breath like a hyena.

Essentially just raw meat with the only fat from butter and blended spices, how good can it actually taste? I would be down to try it but, I can't imagine it would knock my socks off

Just for putting cumin in the kitfo, they will arrest you in Ethiopia! I have NEVER came across of any Ethiopian cooking that uses cumin in the spice mix to make kitfo!

It's a habesha thing to have a shit ton of oil in our houses. I actually tried this dish once and trust me it's heavenly. Nothing like I would have imagined.

FYI - You dont need to eat it raw, most people in Ethiopia dont eat it raw, but u can put it in a warm pan with low heat and stir, to make it medium rare.
