In the process of making it now and. -Thank you for taking the time to film and share your recipe, as this was my 1st time making this. -#1I was not able to fill one cookie sheet with the batter resulting from following the directions above. #2. As I watched the video and followed along by pausing and replaying video, I do not recall you mentioning when it was time to put baking powder - or the pinch of salt. I just noticed it because i went back to see if I could find any notes on why I could barely fill one standard sized cookie sheet -did i miss it in the video? Now I'm just hoping that not putting in the baking powder won't affect the outcome -

Thanks for the video Emma. I'm new to Tiramisu, I've eaten it but never made it. I found an -easy- recipe and (gawd-forbid) used cream cheese instead of Mascarpone. I know strike me down now lol. I know better. Actually I'm planning to make my own Mascarpone as well. Could I blend up some brown sugar to a fine powder and use that instead of powdered sugar you think? I know the colour will change in the filling a little bit but we don't normally have white or powdered sugar in the house!

Emma, thank you. I asked you if you would do a tiramisu cake a few months ago and, here it is! I'm making it today. Thank you! I have my homemade mascarpone setting up in the fridge right now! You are the best. -P. s. Last week, I made a wedding cake with your lemon cake as a base. When I took the cake out of the pan, the 12- pan, my husband's jaw dropped and he asked - how is the cake so flat! - ( no dome top. Lol. I just said -that's Emma's trick! -

Hey emma - I have a question about your cream cheese frosting and yes I know that this is completely unrelated to this video - So I wanted to know if I could use mascarpone instead of the cream cheese because I hate the taste of normal buttercream and I don't really like the taste of cream cheese -- whenever I make my normal mascarpone frosting, it gets soft and unpipable so I wanted to try your method ---- hope you answer---

I made this today and it was one of the most delicious cakes I've ever made, the sponge was light and fluffy, the cream melted in my mouth, and the hints of coffee and chocolate blended so well together, it was amazing! Thank you for sharing this beautiful cake, definitely making again, I also added a few fresh strawberries which arent really traditional but tasted really nice. -

Emma this looks AMAZING! I can't wait to make this Tiramisu for the first time! I have a couple of questions though. First how much lemon juice do you add to the egg whites? Second about how many ounces of espresso is needed for soaking the sponge? Thanks SO much for sharing this recipe!

The wonderful thing about this divine cake, is that it has no raw egg yolks! I am highly allergic to raw eggs and I have never been able to make tiramisu for the same reason. Now I can, and enjoying every minute of it! Thank you so much! Your recipes are d i v i n e!

Unfortunately mascarpone is not available in where I am from. Couldn't find it at any of my local stores. - It's fine tho, I still enjoyed the video! but may I ask, is there a substitution or homemade mascarpone recipe?

About 6 years ago, I scoured YouTube in search of a tiramisu cake. No one made it like i envisioned. -I eventually made my own. But I'm so pleased to see someone finally making tiramisu, cake style. -Very beautiful!
