If there s a large Italian-American community near where you live, there s a great chance you re familiar with baked ziti. Done right, it s a real crowd pleaser, and an easier to make alternative to lasagna. And what does done right mean? You re about to see. Zonnymaka: You know, Chef John, i've been watching you closely for years: now i can tell (without any doubt) that your passion for the cucina italiana is real and you really try your best to honor our traditions. So i hereby solemnly give you the italian fellowship in cooking!

I think back in finland a lunch restaurant would call this a lasagnette if they had this.
Or italian-cauldron or italian box regardless of it being in a cauldron or not (generally anything baked in oven in a rectangle if it has pasta or potatoes in it is a box this or box that. Well with potatoes its often temptation this or that. Rambling! Looks good. Better than italian box lasagnette at school.

How do you reheat stuff like this the next day whilst maintaining the texture after its dried out and the pasta sucked up all the moisture as it's cooled down overnight. That's my main problem with baked pasta dishes like this, they're great on the day they were made but they don't reheat very well at all etc. So is there a way to reheat the dish.

Oh that looks so tasty, and luckily I was sitting here watching this while just finishing up practicing making Garganelli by hand! So I've a large pile of garganelli tubes just crying out for a dish to try them out in, hope they live up to your great looking recipe.

I was just looking through my Anyone Can Cook cookbook by Better Homes and Gardens, and there's a massive section about pasta. BUT NOT ZITI! I'm not a beginner cook, but this book just helped me get back to basics. And not I'm gonna use your ziti recipe!

It's become a habit for me to say Hello this is Chef John, from Food Wishes. com wieeth at the beginning of every one of his videos.
And i am not named John, not a chef, not associated with Food Wishes at all, i lie to you not.

I think there's a reason baked ziti recipes don't contain as much as sauce as yours. With that much sauce you're basically just eating pasta with baked cheese on it, instead of a cohesive backed pasta dish.

watched a bunch of your old videos recently. i really miss your natural way of talking over this strange, highly manufactured way of cutting sentences off with the same inflexion.
please go back to it.
