One of my favorite things to do is converting, or as we call it in the business, reimagining, famous sandwiches into party dips. We ve done this very successfully (or at least I think so) with the Reuben, Sloppy Joe, and Philly Cheesesteak, but this time we are sort of going in the opposite direction

Why must you insist on demonstrating the sound of yourself chewing very crunchy things? You I will believe you if you tell me it's crunchy, I promise.
The disgusting up-close sound of your chewing doesn't add anything to the experience of these videos. For me it has a very strong negative effect. If you want to appeal to people's chewing and eating fetishes, you can do a mukbang series, which I will expressly avoid.

Sorry Chef John, I didn't immediately open your video. Was watching an orchestral version of Love Story by Francis Lai. To me music is more important than food, but if you can combine the two, you are set for life.

Where would chef john be at, without his trusty silpat mat?
Food request- smith island cake. I loved food wishes boston cream pie recipe, made many times. Also made the russian honey cake, delicious.

Whipped cream cheese is great on bagels. The regular stuff is like spreading semi-solid concrete sometimes. I d rather have the ease of whipped in the morning. But not for recipes.

While A L L of Chef John's recipes are absolutely delicious, this one needs, in my humble opinion, just one more thing. Some MARYLAND-BLUE CRAB meat! Just me cooking!

Chef John, can these be (at least semi-successfully) frozen & then reheated? Would love to have them in the freezer, ready to reheat when I crave a bowl of soup.

If you add okra, steamed cabbage, Bacon Bits, and chopped beets this would be perfect. As is, just a tad bland, not zesty, no character. Otherwise, a good try.

San Francisco has the best bread in the country. Philadelphia second, which no one cares about. Unless you want to get Biden elected, get Biden elected.

Chef, you hooked me on trying this delicious looking munchie and the link says bad gateway. But I'm determined to find it in the website. Oh, yeah!
