Wow your videos are awsome and you are always so passionate yet entertaining in all your cooking videos. In Barbados we have a few varieties of this plant. We call them eddoes. One kind is the tanya eddoe which is peeled before cooking and the other kind is called pulping eddoe this type is boiled in the skin which is quite hairy, when cooked we just pulp them out of their skin. However both varieties must be fully matured that is when peeling or pulping there must be no green colouration on the tuber otherwise it will cause itching of your mouth

Hey Maangchi and everyone!
While my last shopping tour in Asia Supermarket I had a biiig luck. First time that I found Toran and also Garlic Chives.
I was so happy and excited.
Of course first thing I thought about. I'm going to get known to the real rase of Toran Guk.
The last time I used potatoes, but the difference is amazing. So cremy and soft oh my god, I'm a big fan of Toran really good.

Is this Taro the same as the one made for bubble tea drinks? I have bought Taro last week and peeled it while it was raw and the inside was kind of white with purplish lines though it was slippery too. The size you have is small compare to the big one I got from the store in Toronto.

Youre instructions and explanations are very clear. It appears that you have assisted experimental cooks to become not only cooks, but very good cooks. Also, your explanation of what is traditional is outstanding. Thank you very much.

Can you kindly write here the seeds you put to make the soup milky and thicker. I can't really get you when you speak. Thanks a lot. I have cooked few of your cooking, great.

You are the cleanest chef on YouTube, I congratulate you. First, I am going to make soy milk soup. and try to figure out if I can make a vegan broth for this taro soup.

In Brasil, we speak portuguese, and we call this veggie inhame. It is most versatile, just like potatoes. You can even eat the skin, if you wash it well.
